InactiveI don’t think so, a lot of total noobies get their feet wet that way and convert later, and a lot of experienced players try new softwares that way. Without free play we would see a lot less players overall.

tricia111MemberHi Casinorep,
I can’t see what your website is, but maybe your low conversions have to do with the keywords your targeting.
Many affiliates have expressed the same concern as you, that their players don’t convert. Often these affiliates are the same who target ‘free’ related keywords. So maybe this has to do with the type of traffic you have?
It can also have to do with your offer not matching your traffic. If your traffic is about blackjack and you send them to a slots casino, that could be another example of what could be wrong.
And as Dominique said, we need to be able to let players get a taste of our software, and for new players to be able to try their hand out before risking real money. I’ve personally seen many players that start out in ‘fun mode’ and then end up depositing.
Kind Regards,

triplecrownMemberI think having a “free” limited play mode actually instills confidence to deposit more. I think your targeted search terms define your deposit vs sign up ratio.

InactiveGood feedbacks. However I’ve got about 2 dozen “free” players over the past month and somehow I don’t feel that they will convert. I don’t know. Maybe I’m just impatient. But usually if a player doesn’t deposit within the week then that usually means he never will to me.
I currently target generic keywords like “casino”, “blackjack” and “online slots”, while using landing pages that correspond to each game. I religious stay away from keywords like “free” and “no deposit”.

arturs.vitolsMemberI agree with Dom. Free play draws people in. I remember playing online poker for free when I was 14 or so and then putting in money a few years later. It might not be immediate, and that is a bummer for the referring affiliate, but it is good for the industry overall.
Casniorep, maybe you could try to focus on free-to-pay conversion for a bit. Look for really good sign up bonuses and try and get a 5-10% deposit rate. I know there are some excellent affiliates that make a living by promoting free games and then dangling a bonus in front of people.
