Inactivewell, it doesn’t hurt to be positive. but i’m rather sceptical about the fact that this economic downturn won’t affect the online gambling industry. with less disposable income, people will most likely bet less money…they’ll probably still gamble, just not for the same stakes.
there is a possibility that this decrease in existing player bets might be offset by new players, who will choose to play online instead of going to vegas or something. but i don’t see this as a big factor. there is quite a bit of difference between gambling online and visiting an land based casino…
up until now i’ve only seen speculations with not much evidence supporting this “recession proof theory”.

winner.comMemberThis month so far I’m getting crushed. Last month I did about 4k (but i have a business partner) – which was down about 50% – lucky thing I DIDN’T put any money in the stock market (my banks kept telling me to after an unbelievable year in 2007). My high rollers have turned into penny players and new sign-ups are wayyyy down.
But to answer the question

InactiveSteady as she goes here.
Too much work jumping through hoops due to the withdrawal of Microgaming though.
It used to be a lot easier keeping the income flow steady, now we have to change things around all the time.
I haven’t seen a drop off so far. Even microgaming casinos are remaining good, they must be doing some nice retention. :hattip:

meemeeMemberI’m of the opinion that disposable income isn’t really a factor when it comes to how much a punter will bet. I don’t think people look in their bank to see how much they can afford to bet with in any given month, they are more likely to bet on where they think they can get the value and bet accordingly.
