Cool on the new game and the great promo. The link thing is getting annoying to be honest why do you programs take this route when you make changes? You have to know how annoying it is for affiliates to dig on several sites and hundreds of pages for all tags to change. Personally when I see this I think to myself that the program is trying to wipe old non performing affiliates from the payroll books. This is the last time we dig and change links.:hattip:

Trying to see what it takes to get in that hall of fame:tongue:

    Hi Bonustreak,

Fair feedback, didnt expect any less from you :)

To our credit, our in-house program (launched in 2007) still support trackers that were provided by the Wagerworks, Boss and St Minver’s proprietary affiliate systems from 2004.
We currently support 9 different generations of trackers, most of which we never provided ourselves through our in house system, and this is the only one we are asking our affiliates to replace. Also remember there is a 4 months notice on this.

Back in 2006, when spec’ing the software that was to become our unified affiliate program, I went to great length to ensure that all standalone affiliate accounts were going to be efficiently migrated and old trackers still supported.

I understand the implications of a tracker update request, and it’s very reluctantly i am asking our affiliates to change their links.

As you might have read in our service email I sent a while back (there must be a post at CAP on this as well) Virgin Games is going through massive operational and structural changes, and that affects all areas of the business, even more so the affiliate program as we deal with all Virgin Games gaming products. The link update request is a direct consequence of this.

I will nevertheless go back to our technical team and ask them to think hard about a potential patch that could be coded to keep on supporting this specific type of tracker.

    As for xxhttp://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=XXXX&go=XXXX
(poker only, provided by Boss in 2006) nothing we can do about, this was previously being tracked by Boss, but we are now a gaming operator and own and operate the player databases, all Poker trackers need to come directly to our servers.

Once again, no bad intention there (we owe it to the brand to keep an impeccable track record) and it’s very reluctantly I send this news out. I will however try to get something sorted within these 4 months.

    Cheers,
