This Sucks!
Dear xxxxxx
Let us lead with the chin and get the bad news out of the way. As mentioned in our previous correspondence, GrandPrivé Affiliates will be closing our operation as of 1 December 2008.Rest assured that all payments due for November will be made as per usual, but that will be the very last payment made by GrandPrivé Affiliates.
Recent developments in the operations of our software provider, Microgaming, as well as general trading conditions in the US has led us to conclude that GrandPrivé Affiliates is no longer a viable business division for the GrandPrive.com group of casinos.
That is the bad news. The good news is that the European-based, Villa Fortuna Affiliates, is up, running and ready to forge a new business relationship with you. Villa Fortuna Affiliates is open to all non-US business (Canadian and European especially) and offers the latest Affiliate Program platform from Microgaming.
Villa Fortuna Casino is available in English, German, Italian and French, with flash casinos currently available in all languages excluding Italian. Our Italian flash and Spanish flash casino software will be added shortly. Massive capital investment is going into building this new casino up to where she rightfully belongs – at the very top of the gaming food chain. Have a look at this glittering Malta-licensed casino by following the provided link: http://www.villafortuna.com
I thank you for your support at GrandPrivé Affiliates through the years.
I hope to continue doing business with you on the Villa Fortuna Affiliates platform. I think we’ve only just begun to scratch the surface of this exciting new venture and look forward to bringing you the very best service, marketing material and benefits – with the help of our exciting new European partners, of course.
Thank you for your time and effort xxxxxxx, I strongly urge you to signup at Villa Fortuna Affiliates – the future lies there!
Please feel free to email me with any queries about what that future holds.
Regards,
Irwin

Apparently I’m not the only one who’s pissed – over this !!November 21, 2008 at 7:16 pm #787872AnonymousInactiveI found out about it a few weeks ago, so the initial shock has worn off just a bit.
They were one of my best steady monthly revenue places so it does suck!
November 21, 2008 at 8:36 pm #787884AnonymousInactiveDoes anyone know what they plan on doing with our existing players?
I’ve asked twice now and I haven’t heard back from them either time.
November 21, 2008 at 9:02 pm #787889LucretiaMembercould not GP tag them over to villa fortuna…..i have no problem with that idea ….??!!
:wink-wink
November 21, 2008 at 10:10 pm #787896AnonymousInactiveLOL I gave up on these a while back anyway but I having read it .. I don’t think it mentions ‘The Casinos’ themselves closing ..
“GrandPrivé Affiliates is no longer a viable business division for the GrandPrive.com group of casinos.” – so is it just the affiliate program closing but the casinos continuing to run? (wouldn’t be too surprised).
I’m not advertising Villa Fortuna because of the way they kicked off, used all the player contact lists from Grand Prive/Referspot days and cross-marketed without including affiliates.. Also, the way they I believe they will happily ditch affiliates once they have a bunch of players (and continue to use our forums with free links!) (NOT MINE – auto-spammed from now on!)
They did certainly used to earn good money in ‘the good ole days’ .. but I said goodbye to them a while back…
As for Villa Fortuna, I expect all the Grand Prive players have already been sent emails (for which affiliates originally referring those players wouldn’t get credit for).
Might be ‘interesting’ to know if the “Grand Prive Group of Casinos” are still going to be running for their existing players (with affiliates of course not getting any commission because the affiliate company has gone). I would suspect so (just a very carefully worded email which only states the Affiliate Program closing!). Of course if I’m wrong I’ll have to eat my hat lol.
Closing and still being sneaky?
Ah well I enjoyed my last little poke at Grand Prive
November 21, 2008 at 11:11 pm #787902AnonymousInactiveI take it that the Casino’s are closing too? This doesn’t make sense, what about all the other markets we built up a clientelle for? How can they keep the Casino’s open but none of us would get credit for our players? I am so upset and confused!
