I have been working with Cpays and they do pay on time. Despite working with them for some time now, they have also contacted me asking for better real estate on our sites and wanting to offer better deals which I assume is due to the merger with WH

The positive thing about them is that their brands convert well and they are very very good at cross selling between brands and retaining players with aggressive promos.

The downside with them is the uneasy feeling you will have knowing that they have screwed other webmasters and could be doing the same to you by scraping /removing your tags from your players. Then again, this could apply to most programs and you will probably never know if you are being screwed over.

The other irritating thing I find is the difficulty communicating with them and unprofessionalism or lack thereof …probably due to them being Israelis and English not being their 1st language, who knows :roflmao:

As I said above, they do pay ( well pay me) , but many other webmasters will tend to disagree.

    Good luck! :hattip:

I had some problems at first but after some complaining they are now paying me every month with no problem. Somehow their brands convert really well. I havent found any other casino affiliate program that convert as well.

They have assured me that all the bad stuff happend a few years ago and everything is cleared up now and they are fighting to loose that “bad name”. I have no idea but they seem to work for me at least.

Most affiliates have applied the “once bitten, twice shy” idiom
I haven’t been bitten yet, or maybe I have been…. but haven’t felt the pain yet :Ohno::suicide:

Until now I’ve always avoided them because of their reputation and their aggressive sales techniques. My thought has been why take a risk and introduce more hassle into my life when there are plenty of other quality programs out there I feel more comfortable with. If I did promote them, and I got shafted down the line, I’d only have myself to blame. However I am hopeful that the merger with William Hill will improve things, but until it’s bedded down and proved itself I wouldn’t be tempted.

There is a strong cultural mismatch between the two organisations, and until its bedded down there is no knowing which one will be on top.

I’ve been burnt by CPAYS within the last year (to answer the question) and despite wasting tens of hours with various people and their admiting that I was owed money I haven’t been paid.

I think the teams at William Hill Online and Webroute Services people are honest but CPAYS is an issue. CPAYS boiler room tactics also create affiliate liability issues as they are most likely to be non compliant with the Gambling Commission guidelines.

I want to work with William Hill Online but feel that until they make sure that all owed commissions are paid by CPAYS (even if this pre-dates the merger) then there will be a sneaking suspicion about who is really calling the shots here.

Yeah agreed. It’s a very strange match-up IMO. Unless WH are going to take the upper hand, I am struggling to think why they would have got into bed with a company with the reputation CPays has. It’s very odd, but intriguing nonetheless. Either WH didn’t do their homework properly, or they have a very carefully planned strategy we haven’t seen yet :)

In the German section of this forum, someone who says they used to work for Cpays pointed out that Cpays will be handling the affiliate business for Will Hill.

    I find that very discouraging.

can I just step in a clarify the issue as much as I can?

As at this time, *nobody* in the Account Management teams for any of the companies involved in the merger have been told that they will definitely be handling the AM for any brand.

From what I understand (but hasnt been confirmed or denied by the Management) is that the UK marketing for all brands will be done in the UK and that the European Marketing will be done from Israel. I hope to have more confirmation about this at the end of the week.

Obviously this is a massive project and there are a lot of staff involved to be placed in their roles etc. The idea is not to lose jobs anywhere in the company, so until an official announcement is made it is business as usual – Will Hill will be looking after themselves, Webroute will be looking after Blackpool Club and Cpays will be looking after their brands. However, at some stage their *will* be a reorganisation of roles, and from what I understand it will be based along the structure I mention above.

Between now and January 16th (the launch date), I would imagine that many AM’s from all 3 companies will be keep to build their portfolio of Affiliates so that they are ready to roll as from Day 1, however as at this time none of us as far as I am aware have access to each others brand banners and are actively able to promote cross casino.

As for bedding in problems, I imagine that this will be the case – no matter how thorough the integration of the 3 tracking systems is, the payment methods and the switching of other technical stuff which is way over my head, only the very naive would anticipate that their will be no problems at all, but thats just part of the way all projects of this size run – I daresay that something somewhere will be forgotten, even if its the new junior forgetting I dont have sugar in my tea! Whatever happens it wont be deliberate, and it wont affect you – the tracking, integration and payment systems will obviously be the priority and will all be working throughout the integration.

When I have more news I’ll post it up but in the meantime if anyone has questions about the new structure then please email me ([email protected]) or add me to MSN ([email protected]) and I will help as much as I can!
