U.K. Problem Gambling has Increased, Claims Newspaper

As the government rep says, when you consider they are trying to encourage more people to call Gamcare for help, using the increase in calls to suggest an increase in the number of problem gamblers isn’t particularly useful in assessing the situation.

As gambling gets more prevalent, there will be more problem gamblers – it’s logical…however the extra revenues should be going back into education, so one would hope over the course of 5 or 10 years, after an inevitable upsurge, there would be a gradual decline in problem gambling as people learn how to gamble responsibly and operators improve responsible gambling methods.
