Perfect example of why religion has no business in politics. This guys is trying to act like Obama is different from most of us.
This is getting really crazy when folks like this have a voice. :flush:
This type of crap is really turning off a lot of folks that are of all types religions because they do not realize that Jesus love us ALL!!!
If one reads scripture its apparent that Jesus and the NEW TESTAMENT geerally do NOT support the ideals expressed by the far right wing.
He wasnt in favor of war.
He wasnt in favor of killing others.
He believed in health care for all. (He was a healer and as best as I can ascertain he didnt charge for it)
He believed in helping the poor.
He fed the hungry.
He advised us to love one another.
He said “What you do onto the least of my brothers you do onto me”These are all concepts which clash with the extreme right wings behavior and agenda.
In our church I would say 75% of our members are Obama supporters. Our Pastor probably has his own stance, but he is careful not to state it in church. The most he does is ask us to pray for wisdom for our countries leaders and to pray for the safe return of the men and women which defend us. Luckily I think thats something we can all agree on.
