Nothing will happen this year, as it’s been put on hold due to this bail-out plan, but hopefully something positive will come of this for our industry.

Golden opportunity for Frank to overturn the UGIEA once and forall! Not just for Pokerrooms; but for Casinos and Sportsbooks as well. A easy, excusable way to get this WTO monkey off their back once and forever! No paying money hungry 3rd world nations, No harassing banks having to filter merchant or ACH transactions, No more ambiguity interpreting the UGIEA.

Now lets see if Frank at el. will take advantage of it! Hopefully, he is smart enough too.

i was thinking the same, sneak it in the bill

Cant see why not. Everything else is in there. From discounted wooden arrows to tax breaks for NASCAR teams. Why not this! If Frank wants it bad enough this is a great opportunity.

He stated that it will have to wait and I don’t think his popularity is very high right now with this banking mess so he does not want to do more damage. :D Of course I don’t know this for sure, but it’s just my opinion.
