    Rake can never be negative.

    I would imagine that the negative you are seeing would be bonuses and fees that have knocked out the actual rake.

    I don’t know – everything I have these days is in negative – my bank account, my love life…so maybe rake can also be negative…at least for me ;)

    Is it possible to get a negative net rake and therefore a negative commission as a poker affiliate? :Cry:

    Depends on the programme you promote, some offer zero negative roll-over.

    So for example if a player wins big in month 1, your balance re-sets to zero at the beginning of month 2 which means your aren’t penalised for the month 1 loss.

    Don’t think a player win in poker will influence the rake negatively, so the actual rake amount can’t go into negative.

    Rake = House Fee, AFAIK.

    I was referring too negative commission as I thought you’d already cleared up the negative rake question :)

    Regards,

    Is that actually possible though? I can see that a player can bring in a negative balance in poker if he is on a high rakeback level, plus he wins a rake race competition for a specific month. But otherwise even if deducting bonuses. If checking out the poker rooms of today, there are not many bonuses that you can clear with less rake then the actual bonus, at best you get a 100% rakeback until bonus is cleared.

    So if I where you I should ask for the figures, how come your poker revenue is negative.

    It would never happen for betway, and we have players clearing the 5K bonus.

    Just my input,
    Cheers

    I’m talking about poker only. So the more your player wins the more hands he / she can play the more rake you receive. A big win by a player has no negative influence on your commission. It will benefit your rake. Thats how I understand it, am I right? :)

    I think it’s possible..Example:

    Say you have a $100 sign up bonus that’s release in total after say 100 raked hands. In month 1 the player plays 98 raked hands and the second month the player will clear the other 2 hands and recieve the bonus. Your net rake will be negative in this situation.

    This is also possible with a bonus that will be paid in smaller amounts, but it’s less likely and your negative will be alot smaller.
