I just received something from Gil Zelzberg from Lucky 18 casino which clearly looked like a generated letter trying to get me interested in some service he was offering.
Is this accepted CAP protocol? Not even close. I can assure you it will be put to bed once the Prof reads this. If it continues, PM me and I will sort it out.

Is this accepted CAP protocol?I received the same but just said I’d consider it. After reading the CAP posts I decided I’d pass on it for now.
As a rule I don’t really jump on new CAP certified programs until there is some aging. The only exception perhaps is sloto’cash but I still waited a few months.

InactiveSame here.
Received it.
Read it.
Responded with a no.
Got a polite response back.I must say that I didn’t really consider it SPAM, as he’d taken some time to add in specific details regarding our sites. I thought it was acceptable conduct.
:hattip:Mind you – if I suddenly got one from EVERY program then I’d probably be yelling SPAM SPAM SPAM.
:tongue:A tricky thing this affiliate business eh?

Don’t mind new programs letting me know they’re around. One mail is ok. A second is annoying.
In this instance they can do well to fix their affiliate site and we have to ask ourselves do we really need another RTG with cash out limits? :sarcasm:

InactiveI got it too.
I didn’t appreciate it. I don’t like receiving emails or pm’s like this. Very generic and it seemed almost like a copy of what he’s already posted on the forum. I don’t need to read the same information twice.

Lotto-RadarMemberIn addition to address the need of publishing or creating a protocol for PMs, what about if webmasters in general tell us what is your favorite method AMs can use to approach you.

InactiveMine didn’t contain any specifics at all. It was a template and my username was put after Hi that’s where the customization ended.

PerThornMemberI got it too, but didnt really mind it.

InactivePersonally, if it’s an accredited program, I don’t mind at all.
I may not reply to everything, but it’s no bother to get it and maybe it has something interesting to say.

biggygMemberFor the price that programs pay to be here ,i think that they have a right to contact us.I don’t mind to get a general email -one they copied and pasted to all of us just as basic introduction.Sometimes emails like this have resulted in very profitable partnerships for me as there are so many programs that sometimes a good one will fall through the cracks.I think the proper thing to do is respectfully reply with a no thanks or maybe open a conversation with them.
I don’t know what the rest of you are doing but i am too busy to whine about spam every time i get one. These programs are here because of the value the contacts at CAP bring to them.If i were them and told i can’t contact members i surely wouldn’t be staying lol. Some programs have to try a bit harder than others to get our attention but i certainly wouldn’t make them feel bad for sending me an email.
Having said all that ,if they are sending 10 a week and nagging then definitely they have to be stopped.Just my two cents worth

InactiveI didn’t think it was spam at all. I don’t really have time to drop everything and just add a program. It’s pure luck if they happen to catch me when I’m not busy.
If I read repeated positive posts on program and there is a fit then I’ll add them.

HVDBMemberDon’t mind at all. Between all the hundreds of other REAL spam you got at least it is info that is really about the business. Altho most of time not interesting for myself i don’t mind at all. It’s good to know about the latest programs or news or offers.
