Incidentally, there are no land based casinos in Ohio and gambling (except for charity, horseracing, and the Ohio Lottery) are illegal.

    Yet…

In fiscal year 2000, over $2.15 billion was wagered on the state lottery. In 1999, over $627 million dollars was wagered on horse racing and over $780 million was wagered on charitable bingo, including instant bingo.

Yeah my 8% state tax isnt enogh for these jackasses in Ohio..

Heres the lowdown on why Ohio has no casino..

Mountanere casino on the border of west Viginia and Ohio (1.5 hours from me) has quite a thing going on there.. The entire parking lot that is always packed in 95% ohio plates (Im not kidding) (really).

I heard from a very reliable source the #1 cost to running this casino is paying certain people in Ohio to restrict any form of casino within Ohio..

People have been trying for years to get gambling but the bible belt in souther ohio is against it, and of course certain people make it impossible to pass without a vote.

Arkansas went so far as to calling Keno a game of skill while maintaining that poker is a game of luck. Figure that one out.
