GuestIf Miami doesn’t win this weekend i’m resigning from doing my NFL picks here lol, at 0-8 i’d say they are due, although most people would say they are done…
I got to get this shot in Nick : and after you picked on me for loving the undefeated Miami team led my Csonk.
okay …. that said ….
at C: disagree – no agenda….. just don’t think C will lose at home / Atlanta @ Carolina – Atlanta could pull off the upset in Carolina against a still beat up Carolina team coming off 2 straight double digit losses…
Pick Atlantaagree / Minnesota @ Green Bay – Green Bay at home coming in off 4 straight wins and 3 straight wins vs Minnesota are playing good ball and should keep rolling in here…
Pick Green Bayhome team advantage plays here …. and my bias. / Denver @ Kansas City – Kansas City at home should pull out a close win…
Pick Kansas Cityagain I say …. SL still in the nfl? – agree / St Louis @ New Orleans – New Orleans keeps rolling vs the worst team in the league…
Pick New Orleansdisagree….. buffs on a roll / Buffalo @ Miami – Miami finally gets a game they can win…
Pick MiamiCleveland @ Pittsburgh – Pitt has beaten Cleveland 8 straight times and are easily the best team in the division
Pick Pittsburghagree its close … but choose home team / Philadelphia @ Washington – This should be a close game that could go either way…
Pick Philadelphiaagree / Jacksonville @ Tennessee – Tennessee is cruising along nicely at 6-2 and picking off opponents at home almost every time out, only Indy managed to win in Tennessee this year, 22-20…
Pick Tennesseeagree / Cincinnati @ Baltimore – Baltimore should pull out a close one at home, they’ve lost to Cincy in their last 2 meetings, and should be reved after embarrassing themselves last week vs Pitt…
Pick Baltimoredetroit is on a roll …. but agree…. dome teams have trouble outside / Detroit @ Arizona – Arizona coming off their first loss at home this year against Detroit who are trying to win consecutive road games for the first time in history probably, Arizona explodes in here as an underdog at home…
Pick Arizonaagree / Dallas @ New York Giants – Game of the week is for first place in the division, Dallas is the better team and should find a way to win this…
Pick Dallasagree / Chicago @ Oakland – Chicago have won their last 2 games on the road, in Philly and Green Bay, those aren’t 2 teams that are easily beaten at home, they should be able to win in here…
Pick Chicagoagree / Indianapolis @ San Diego – This game makes or breaks San Diego in 2007, favoring Indy after their loss last week after winning 13 straight games…
Pick Indianapolisagree / San Francisco @ Seattle – Seattle at home should dispose of San Fran who are riding a 6 game losing streak…

InactiveWell now BB1, you’re not allowed to disagree lol, ur just pickin the chalk in place of my upsetter
Atlanta @ Carolina, this one is called the law of averages, Atlanta is 5-5 in last 10 games vs Carolina and 6-6 all time in Carolina, Carolina won the first game between them this year in Atlanta 27-20, therefore applying the law of averages Atlanta wins, and returns a juicy +185 on the money line…Atlanta has 0 wins on the road this year, Carolina has 0 wins at home this year
The key in this game will be Warrick Dunn for Atlanta, if he gets 100 yards and 25+ carries like he did last week Atlanta wins again
U say Buffy is on a roll, that’s funny, they haven’t beaten a team with a winning record all year, and haven’t beaten a team with a winning record on the road since their Super Bowl days of 10 years ago(slight exageration), but they do have 4 wins in their last 5 games which is better than Miami has done this year
Still worth repeating the 3 teams Buffy beat this year have a record of 8-26, counting the Jets twice, and the only team they beat on the road this year was the 1-8 New York Jets
Buffy as a chalk on the road is funny, they have found themselves in that position twice in the past 3 years and lost both times

GuestNick you’re probably right on Buff. stats have a way of proving.
still going with Buff though. don’t know why? just a feeling.

vladcizsolMemberI have been a little out of touch the last two weeks, but here are my picks:
Atlanta @ Carolina – Carolina in a squeaker. Atlanta has to rebuild. The only reason this isn’t a blow out is due to QB injuries in Carolina.
Minnesota @ GB – Surprise Upset here. Minnesota due to an un-stoppable running game. If Farve has his ass on a chair GB cant score. Minnesota will dominate the clock.
Denver @ KC – KC at home against a super spotty Denver team. I am just not sold on Cutler either so I think Dnever needs a change next year.
Buffalo @ Miami – In years past this was a great rivalry, this years it’s a spanking for the fins. Buffalo squishes the fish. The horror….
STL @ NO – Why even waste the jet fuel St Louis? Just stay home. New Orleans by a landslide.
Cleveland @ Pittsburgh – Very Interesting. Can Rothlisberger put up enough points to keep up with brownies? I think he can. Pittsburgh but it aint a lock.
Jacksonville @ Tennesse – Hmmm lets see… A guy who should be selling hot dogs in the stands against one of the hottest young QBs in the league. Tennessee…
Philly @ Washington – Washington grinds this one out and McNabb sputters again. Even the Chunky Soup people are losing patience with McNabb.
Cincinatti @ Baltimore – I love the Ravens. I still think McNair has some gas left in him, but they just cant put up enough points to hang with Cincy. Bengals win one.
Detroit @ Arizona – Ass whipping time for the Cards. Detroit in a point filled desert beat down.
Dallas @ Giants – Ok, both of these teams fold like a house of cards at the end of the year so who’s going to crack first? I have a feeling Dallas pulls this one out, but it could easily be a Giants upset.
Chicago @ Oakland – Da Bears
Indy @ San Diego – What did Tony Dungy do to deserve this schedule? Ouch! San Diego is suddenly sizzling, but I think Indy takes em out.
SF @ Seattle – We dont get to see these teams play here on the east coast so both are a mystery. I am going with Seattle.

InactiveIgnoring stats and going by feeling i would give Minny a shot as a 6 point dog, Green Bay is due for a let down after winning 2 road games in 6 days, and a lot of Green Bay players are suffering sore legs from those efforts, meanwhile Minny has a monster running game going and lost to Green Bay earlier this year, plus they need to win this to stay in contention in the division.
I can see Minny just running right over Green Bay in this game with a huge advantage on the ground and pulling out a big win, even though the stats show otherwise
The weather should be cold which favors Minny, since they will be running, Green Bay relies a lot on big pass plays which helped them win the first game in Minny played indoors, no home field advantage here, Minny are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games in Green Bay, winning 2 of the last 3 straight up.

InactiveLou we posted Minny at the same time…
Did u have the same revelation as me

vladcizsolMemberYeah killer running game. Here’s my prayer that wont be answered. Take Carson Palmer out of Cincy and drop him in Minnesota and you have an NFC team with enough fire power to challenge the AFC next year.

Inactive“Ass whipping time for the Cards”
What you mean is Zona will be dishing out the ass whipping cuz there is no chance Detroit whoops em at home, Detroit ain’t never whipped nobody on the road in 40 years of NFL football and it aint gonna start this week
Zona gonna roll big in here and finish up the year by winning 6 of their last 8 games at the least

Inactive“Cincinatti @ Baltimore – I love the Ravens. I still think McNair has some gas left in him, but they just cant put up enough points to hang with Cincy. Bengals win one.”
Whatever did they put in your hospital food
Lets look at this game seriously for a minute…
Baltimore is 8-2 in their last 10 games at home vs Cincy
Baltimore has the better record, and had a better record last year
Cincy has 0 wins on the road this year
Cincy has given up more points than any other team in the league this year
Cincy’s only hope in here is to pass cuz they have no running game against one of the league’s premier run defences, and as if it wasn’t hard enough to pass on the Ravens all pro secondary with Int league leader Reed and McAllister back there(although they are both questionable due to injury), they will have to do it with big play receiver Chad Johnson still sore after finishing last week’s game on a stretcher
And earlier this year Cincy barely beat Baltimore at home in the final seconds after McNair had 3 fumbles and an Int before getting benched in a game where Baltimore had more passing yards and rushing yards, only losing because of 6 turnovers
I don’t know, i mean anything is possible, Baltimore might play this game without 3/4 of their entire starting secondary, Rolle is out, Reed is Questionable, McAllister is Questionable, so that gives u some chance

InactiveThere are many lessons to be learned this week…
1-Don’t bet against my picks is the most important lesson lol
Actually i enjoy the pre game jesting, it makes me work harder on my picks
Zona back on track with the biggest win of their season, a 10 point slasher at home…”patting myself on the back”
Atlanta runs the ball with Dunn 25+ times and wins…”patting myself on the back”
Philly wins on the road in another upset…”patting myself on the back”
Miami *wins* at home vs Buffy, cmon they won, forget the final score…”kicking myself in the nuts”
Minny bombs out, what a strange thing to happen, both me and Lou suffered spontaneous demonic possession with that pick
Cincy beats up the purple panzies from Baltimore, Lou picks it cold, and actually threw me off Baltimore when i saw there was an avenue to exploit in that game for Cincy with the injuries on defence, and they did exploit it good…nice call by the big man
BB1, i expect better from u next week, no more doggin it, i wanna see some conviction in those picks of yours

InactiveI got seriously owned today. Too bad (for them) I’m not under anyone because they would have made a lot of profit. Out of all my picks, I bet on all the teams that lost except Buffalo, and didn’t bet on a few that I would have had right (St-Louis, Dallas, Cleveland)..
Terrible night.

InactiveThere is a lesson to be learned for u too Jack
Don’t bet on Buffalo
I am a superstitious man, i believe when one doesn’t go the other will, i never get it all good at the same time, one day is horses, one day is sports, and another is poker, luckily i can tell which one is going for me pretty fast, then i just back out with the others
I saw your site in French there for the soccer, i bet on Fenerbahce at 300-1 right at the start of the Champions League, every year i pick that longshot that will outrun their odds and hopefully come through with it all, i had Monaco a few years back at over 100-1 and they made it all the way to the Finals and lost, that one still pains me.
Barcelona will probably win and i have Messi to score the most goals at 25-1, but i was impressed enough with Fenerbahce to take a shot on them

vladcizsolMemberNot a horrible weekend, but there were some shockers.
If I was a New Orlean Saints fan I put my jersey away for the rest of the year. What an embarrassment! SO much for being in the top tier of the NFC this year. The Aints arent in the same league as Dallas or Green Bay. Sad Sad Sad.
Atlanta and Carolina was close with Atlanta pulling it out. But teams need a major overhaul and arent contenders in their present state.
Hats off to Green Bay. What an ass whipping they put on Minnesota. Not suprised they won, but very surprised they blanked Minnesota.
Philly and Washington was a pick em game too as both teams are not consistent. When either one is on they are good when they arent they suck.
Arizona and Nick get a hats off. Detroit what happended?
Indy and San Diego. Indy gave this one away. I guess even Peyton Manning deserves an off day.
Baltimore is shot for the year and Steve McNair needs to retire.
November 12, 2007 at 5:06 pm #753834Anonymous
InactiveIndy -3 still looked pretty good at 21-23 with 15 minutes left. Then things crumbled down again.
Detroit +1 still looked good at 7-17, starting the 3rd quarter strong. Then things crumbled down again with fumbles and interceptions.
The only good team was Buffalo, your favorite
