My personal opinion, based upon the news story I saw this morning… The guy really isn’t owed the money.

I would hate it too, but this particular machine – the top payout is $2,500 and it screwed up and told him he won $1.5 million on what apparently wasn’t even a winning set of reels.

I say they give him a reward anyway – but probably only the max jackpot.

    I agree, don’t really think he’ll get/is owed anything.

Whats the yellow band at the top of the picture? Has the slot been roped off with police tape?

    Hi all,

talked about this with an old friend not in our biz.

the top jackpot should be payed for purpose of good public relations.

but no … if it says top payout is $2500 ….. that is what should be at best expected.

even they don’t like to pay normal winnings. you have to provide id card passport, bank statement, ultillity bill, driving lisense etc. if your information doesn’t match your documents. No payment.

The casino offered to pay him the top jackpot of $2500, and he turned it down. He also admits to having visited that casino again since they refused to pay him the $1.6 million…70+ times! Doesn’t sound like a dissatisfied customer to me.

The machine had a top payout posted and also a note saying that the owners of the casino weren’t responsible for paying jackpots based on a malfunction of the machinery. The guy doesn’t have a legitimate claim.
