Maybe you can add a navigation bar down the left-hand side of the page – most people tend to look there for guidance and they might get bored scrolling down the page to look for something that interests them.

I personally love the design and layout of it. It is very unique and sets itself apart from all the banner ridden, content flooded sites currently out there.
However, I do agree that you may need another aspect of navigation (maybe a floating 150px nav menu off the left)
I say keep the layout and now just fine tune it. Again, I like the unique “newspaper” design. Nice work.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions… I’m always looking to improve the site. I’ll look to implement a left-hand side navigation per your advice below – indeed, I take the point it might be tiresome for people to scroll downward for the content…
