    Aside from e-mail volleyball –

Changing Promotions and sign up offers with NO or very little notice.

Changing Affiliate Banner tags with NO or very little notice – this one particularly ticks me off – finding out I’ve been promoting with a tag that the “House” received the sign up and not ME because I was not informed my affiliate tags were no longer working due to “site maintenence” or a program changeover!!!

Lack of valid commission payment options. For example no program is taking advantage of paying us through “Affiliate Speed Pay”. No one I know of anyways.

    Hey guys!

I wanted to answer right away but decided to wait for a few replies…

This is a VERY interesting post, and I am surprised to see that NO ONE said ANYTHING about stats fraud!

I would think that the most horrible thing that can be done to an affiliate is to show false stats.

Heard it was being done by several platforms (though mainly by the casino itself).

In any case – all points mentioned by others are valid and true… and, sad…

What can i say? If you ever feel cheated by your aff manager and are looking for a different aff program/manager – PM me!

The worst things in affiliate programmes normally come from an incompetent team or from senior management who do not value affiliate marketing.

In previous roles I have had heading up affiliate programmes, I have been told at 24 hours notice that a promotion will take place and I need to communicate this to all affiliates.

    Sometimes I got a week!

In an ideal world, we could all plan and execute everything perfectly – but in reality other departments contribute massively to how the Affiliate Programme performs in the eyes of the affiliates (i.e Finance & IT especially).

Operators that do better than others are ones that are organised as a company – organisation & a clear/flexible structure will allow the Affiliate Programme to evolve and develop in the correct way.

For me it is not working banners and affiliate links on the site.
Your site looks trashy. You can not upload your own banner because they are not available in the zip files section !
Besides that no response to this issue from the affiliate manager about the technical problems. The program I am addressing to is Goldenstarnetwork which is now not perfecting partnerships in any way!

I am really not amused with their attitude.

I think it is lack of outreach and proactiveness. And I agree with Chris, most often this reflects the attitude of casino management – the aff program can only work with what they got.

What I have never understood is the lack of imaginative banners in some places, or plain the lack of banners. Banners are cheap to produce, there is a ton of talent online that does them for very reasonable prices, and yet some places do not seem to manage producing a handfull of choices.

What also bothers me is the time I spend every month trying to figure out what bank wire or cheque came from what affiliate program. It would be so easy for the programs to drop us an email to let us know that payment was sent and for how much. Some programs like Gaming Partners, Slotland and a couple others I can’t think of do this. So thanks to the ones that do!

Affiliate Speedpay is great, however the following t&c’s affects most programs here

4.20 I herby confirm and undertake that I will not receive or transmit any funds into or request the transmission of funds out of the Service that are connected in any way to unlawful Internet Gambling in the US.

Ok, this thread has gone on to discuss payment issues and I have to move it into the private section.

    Hi Chris,

Casino Club closed our aff. account without any explication/ e-mail :) (I believe the reason was a link to a free casino club offer in our forum, and, as I remember, is the only aff program that acted in this way)

I am sorry to hear this – can you send me a PM with some more details please? (such as when this happened etc).

I will make sure I will sort this out for you ASAP.

Regarding the old Affiliate Programme, we were brought on board to develop and market AffiliateClub.com and have never dealt with the old system.

That is not an excuse and is not excusable. :)

Ok, forget, it’s an old story and any way, we can’t generate any serious money with bossmedia casinos :)
