From Wikipedia “It is estimated by the Pentagon and company representatives that there are 20,000 to 30,000 armed security contractors working in Iraq, and some estimates are as much as 100,000, though no official figures exist.” The majority are Blackwater. They go totally unchecked and up until this point not even one has been prosecuted for anything. There have been countless “problems” with them, but the chimp can’t afford to lose them or we’d have to send in troops we don’t have.
Here’s 2 good videos about Blackwater:
This one lays things out pretty well (oops, just noticed you posted this one) http://youtube.com/watch?v=yJUEULWEP9c

This one is just straight up disturbing http://youtube.com/watch?v=xMdHKOUm7NM

    Thanks Erik
I guess I have been living under a rock
As far as your Vid goes yes that is disturbing but at one point I see them firing warning shots at the car behind them before the car speed up (they are in a war zone after all) I probably would have shot that one this must be a common occurrence there.

The privatization of this war is what is shocking to me ….and the money cost plus they are getting no questions asked ……..we are in the wrong business…

Really pitiful thing is that the Blackwater “soldiers” make 10x what our troops do. If I was a US soldier I’d be a little pissed off that someone doing the same job, is making WAY more money. :bullshit:

    OK
    This just in.

A House panel reveals a letter telling the firm not to disclose information about its Iraq operations without the administration’s OK.

This is good stuff the US hires a private army and when they mess up it’s the companies fault and then the company turns around and accuses the individual employee of the mess up then lets that employee go. Nice Clean it looks as though the US gov is not involved in any way. When the private army is investigated the US says no way!! There may be sensitive information that cannot be disclosed. So no way to find out anything.

This is how to run a politically incorrect war in politically correct times.

Sorry to rant this just caught my eye last weekend and have been following it. I don’t see much main stream news covering it

    Brad
