Good news.
Any challenge to prohibition is good news! :hattip:
One of the reasons for USA Today’s early success was their relatively complete statistics for professional sports at a time when those numbers were hard to come by. (Back before the Internet, and when newspapers didn’t routinely carry a lot of that information.) It’s nice to see they remember their roots.
And yes, this is good news.
But what if the Gov decides to charge USATODAY and wins?
It would create a legal precedent that would put us all under fire…
I would rather a major publication fight the legal battle then a medium size affiliate site. At least they have the money to fight where an affiliate site may not over the long run.

I couldn’t agree more, but would they be willing to fight a legal battle? Quite a few companies decided to bend-over, do you think USA Today would enjoy the publicity from a gambling related charges?
I don’t see anything illegal. They are not offering or even advertising online sports betting.

USA Today is a division of Garnett Co. Inc. They also have about 20 TV stations stretching from Maine to CA.
They are advertising Sportsbook.net, which is a free site.
