Hi all,
well I’m wondering just how smart it was of UB to add their predatory terms as I am finishing (I hope I’ve not left any up) taking down all of the links to UB.
WTG UB! how smart you must feel having added those terms.
I wish you all you are due for such actions. RIP!
May 21, 2007 at 8:58 am #737453AnonymousInactivewhat predatory terms did they add? I’m making some earnings with them but I don’t know if it’s from new accounts or just old timers. I can’t understand the IncomeAccess reporting.
May 21, 2007 at 8:49 pm #737503AnonymousInactiveWhich predatory term?
1. They changed the terms to make it so you have to refer 10 players in the last 3 months or you don’t get paid.
2. They changed the way they calculate MGR by going from dealt to contributed.
3. They started deducting deposit fees, some report fees are deducted whether there are dposits or not. It has been shown Absolute deducts 20% of the top regardless of whether your player deposited or not so UB doing that would make sense.
4. There is some question as to whether UB started deducting 100% of the bonus instead of 25%.
5. Other promos deducted.
None of the above existed 1-2 months ago. UB did not do this for new players, they did it for all existing US players and in some cases all players.
Also keep in mind it is harder to retain players now because their bonus is now the worst in the industry. There is not a limit where a player can make over $1/hr in bonuses.
They also changed the terms of the points for cash promo mid week and kept those terms. Support lied to players about the promo terms changing and also lied to players about the bonus terms changing when they were asked. It took UB 4 days to put the new terms on their site although they were retroactively changing all existing bonuses, something only rogue casinos do.
Have fun promoting them, wonder what retroactive change is around the next corner. Wonder when you will only have 9 players in 90 days and lose all the money you are owed forever.
May 22, 2007 at 8:45 pm #737619fronkeeMemberHi everybody,
I would like to clarify the situation… It seems like there has been a misunderstanding while reading our Terms and Conditions and even UB’s home page.
Our T’s and C’s state:
“All affiliate accounts must sign 10 new real money player accounts each year or payments due under this Agreement may be suspended and/or this Agreement may be terminated without further compensation or further notice to you.” (https://affiliate.ultimatebet.com/signup/affiliate_agreement.html?PHPSESSID=6796a8ce47f1a184923443da6108b62b)That means that all affiliates must sign 10 new players in a period of 12 months, if that doesn’t happen we’ll review the account and determine if payments and/or the agreement should be put on hold or not.
We did change the way the rake is calculated to average contributed, which is the most common rake in the industry.
For that other question here is the answer: We deduct 25% of the redeemed bonuses to the MGR as we always have.
The UltimateBet affiliate program doesn’t deduct any other bonuses.
With all the industry changes we have been forced to do some changes to stay in the US market. We are committed to our US affiliates and we plan to do the best we can, that’s why we are offering one of the highest bonuses (100% up to $650).
I’m here to help you with any questions you have and any problems you find.
Best regards,
Marcela
May 23, 2007 at 1:27 am #737638AnonymousInactivewell Marcela, I don’t like the fact that UB is switching to the AP tracking and I have to change and update LINKS on lots of pages .
May 23, 2007 at 2:41 am #737645AnonymousGuestpredatory is predatory. you wouldn’t have any of the players I sent if I didn’t send them I don’t care how long it took for that to happen.
rude comment removed, BB1 lets stay professional and on topic please
May 23, 2007 at 9:41 pm #737752AnonymousInactiveWhy did you feel it was OK to change the way you figure MGR on existing players?
Why did you feel it was OK to change the terms on existing stacked bonuses for players?
Why did UB fail to change these terms on their site for almost a week after the change?
Why was support telling players it was only a bug and would be corrected?
Why were players at least not given credit for the hands before the terms were changed on the site? (even though all stacked bonuses should be cleared under the old terms, anything else is bait and switch)
Do you know the $650 bonus takes over 800 table hours to clear at any limit, even the highest offered?
Did you know this is the second time UB retroactively changed bonus terms?
I don’t play at UB anymore and anyone that does I’m sure has their reasons. The software is fast and many love the mini view. I’m just pointing out all the reasons I feel there are serious problems going on there with how they treat their players and affiliates. A bonus that clears at a typical 60-80 cents an hour is not something that can lure players, all it does is upset them when they got teased by a big bonus that can never be cleared. If I sent a player to UB and they realize this bonus is this bad how can I expect them to trust me to send them to a good site next time?
