vladcizsolMemberThats a damned shame. I really liked the Yosemite Sam tie in at the Casino. Sad to see 49er go…

InactiveI’m surprised by this. I thought 49er was one of the larger RTG casinos. :tooconfus

vladcizsolMemberI think the key is this part of the statement:
Quote:With the recent changes in the industry in the last few months,
it has become increasingly difficult to effectively process
financial transactions to 49er’s valued US customers. The lack of efficient player deposit/payment mechanisms is what is slowly strangling everyone right now.

InactiveIt’s too bad – I liked that casino also and it looks like a number of CasinoMeister members liked them too.

Yes, that is the key part of this. 49er was more of a US focused casino from the start, with the whole Yosemite Sam theme, and even though their presence has extended overseas, the lack of efficient player deposit/payment mechanisms made it very difficult for US players.
Please note that this has no affect on our other well established brands and business is as usual for The Sands of the Caribbean, Omni Casino and SunPoker.com. They haven’t taken US customers since last October and continue to make waves overseas.

InactiveYeah many of my members liked the casino, sadly I myself never made a penny from them.

InactiveI understand that the players are sent to Bodog.
Where do affiliates stand in this?
Are players mapped over and credited to the originating affiliate?

interesting piece of information you got there Dom! Where did you hear that from and how come Focal Click never mentioned it? :plain:

InactiveIf this is true, I hope Bodog intends to map the players to the appropriate affiliates. Bodog has those revenue-generating players because Focal sold/gave the players to them, and Focal had those players because of their hard-working affiliates. (This doesn’t include me, since I never promoted 49er…. Also, of course I am referring to players referred by affiliates only, not players that signed up to 49er directly).
Will be interesting to see how affiliates are compensated here. :tooconfus

InactivePlayers at Casinomeister are discussing it. Apparently they have been notified but we haven’t.

vladcizsolMemberI saw one post at CM where it appears a Player was told that Bodog uses the same software as 49er and that they would welcome new players. This does not appear to be a wholesale transfer of players to Bodog or an attempt to side step affiliates as far as I can tell so lets not go crazy just yet.
I dont think we have full details and what I dont want to see is affiliates immediately jump to conclusions and assume that they are being screwed over by Focal and Bodog. We dont know that to be the case.
