Sad but currently true. I know most affiliates who I talk to (who are honest) state they have seen anywhere from a 50 – 80% drop in income since October. I know in my case that drop in income has been really pronounced at many of the programs I formerly did very good with, so its particularly saddening.
I haven’t seen that drop at all professor – but then that is due to the different geographical nature or our readership.
Americans made up no more than about 5-8% of our readership.
I have actually picked some some american players since then – and I can only imagine what revenues were like PRIOR to the changes for experienced and successful affiliates.
:happydancAs a result of the discussion on CAP over the last six months I do NOW have financial planning in place salting away significant revenues into a longterm account and could now survive if the business was cut in half …
I would not have thought it possible for my business to be affected dramtically prior to seeing the effects on you guys and gals.
It’s going to be a long hard slog of US facing affiliates I feel … chin up and battle through it … because there is some sign of light on the other side mate.
:plain:Thinking about all the people who lost their money and livelihoods over this is mindboggling.
Investors lost tons of money and thousands of employees were let go over the last year or two.
I am completely convinced that this will turn around – but no idea when. I would think the plan is to starve us all and then bring in the big US gambling companies, when the coast is clear.
Last summer in Vegas one person from the Sands company’s marketing branch told me that it would be an interesting two years when we were discussing online/offline gambling. I still wonder what exactly he knew and what he meant…
By all means I am not saying it is going to be easy, but when there is a will there is a way, especially when coupled with positive thinking.
