InactiveYeah saw that – shame but one would imagine the impact of the UIGEA is taking it’s toll here and you can’t blame them for cutting costs. One would assume (hope) this isn’t retroactive as it would obviously breach the previous affiliate contract, but I’m sure they will clarify that soon enough*.
Guess its time to single one out. Vegas7 seems to do best for me – how do the rest of you do/which one performs?
* I’ve asked them to confirm the retroactive bit via their blog as their forum here is no more.

InactiveDon’t be surprised if some programs close entire properties.
I really wish the smoke would settle so I can start moving forward.March 3, 2007 at 3:13 pm #729395Anonymous
InactiveSimmo! wrote:Guess its time to single one out. For an affiliate who has dozens+ of players per casino in the group, it can be devastating every now and then.
Maybe this is why they wanted to get out of dodge they didnt want to take the heat. Scary things going on over there, old stats are still not available on the new system. Sorry but I fear that once the old system is taken off line we are going to see lots of players vanish into thin air and the UIGEA will be presented as the excuse.

InactiveDoes this apply to my previous referrals?
If so, this would be an unacceptable retroactive change.

InactiveI’ve been wiped out a few times already by VA bundling, so I don’t know how this can be new. Not 2 months ago, I lost over 1K like this.

GuestVA has some real issues going on. I don’t remember the last time I got paid.
I’ve pulled their links until such time I get full payment and they figure out some of the major issues that confront them.
yes, they used to be a decent though not outstanding program for me. Too much going on right now to justify listing them.

First it is, then it isnt, then it is, then it isnt, now it is again. The first time it wasnt an option I switched to another plan, yet once ACH came back on my payment was delayed so they could make sure which plan I wanted? BS! Send me my GD money, NOW!

Do you remember what happened when Fortune Affiliates, Vegas Partner, and Referback pulled the same stunt less than 2 years ago? If these changes at VA are indeed retroactive, history will repeat itself… Vegas Affiliates will be widely blacklisted, they’ll lose a sh*tload of revenue, and then maybe they’ll wake up and realize that their affiliates aren’t to be screwed with.We put them where they are today, and we can certainly take that away.
I’m sorry, but when someone from within the industry starts f*cking around with my income, I get a little steamed. I sent players to 5 VA casinos specifically because the casinos weren’t bundled. Now, in order to “save money,” as I’ve been told, they’ve decided to lump the casinos together. “Saving money” on their end screws the rest of us over, bigtime.
I should point out that Henry is opposed to the bundling. He told me that he strongly advised the owners not to bundle the casinos. Unfortunately, they didn’t listen.
If the change is not retroactive, then fine — I’ll dump all but one casino. However, if the change affects my previous referrals, I have a really big problem with that.
Things are hard enough as it is right now; the last thing we need is to deal with something like this.

InactiveMy opinioin probably won’t be popular. Here goes anyway:
Now is the time for us to pull together, affiliate programs and affiliates, to support each other.
This is not necessarily directed at VA, as there are rumours that they were cash strapped before the latest wave of misery – the loss of Neteller – impacted online gambling.
That being said, recent upheavals in the landscape have drastically cut overall revenues at online casinos that earn(ed) a good percentage of their revenues from the United States. I believe the smaller programs must be hurting as much as U.S. directed affiliates are.
I think we need to take the time to review and understand the impact this is having across the industry as a whole before damning any programs who make changes to cut costs and stay afloat. If we are tolerant of changes now, we will benefit by not having fewer affiliate programs in business. Last thing affiliates need is a monopoly who has no need to compete for advertising space on our websites.
Hopefully, once the iron veil has lifted (and we all pray it will), cost cutting measures taken now will be lifted.
