InactiveI would like for us to get together at the Holland court one day… just affiliates, there is a bar and restaurant there and no noise other than us…I get tired of all the noise too. Can’t hear yourself.

InactiveOk everyone keeps asking and chatting, but nothing gets set, so let’s make this the thread!:shots:
I’m unlikely to go to Fire and Ice, because the previous attempts have been been like visiting heathrow on a bad day and even the new venue doesn’t seem big enough to handle the crowds.
Let’s find a large pub, where we can gather, drink and chat. I’ve proposed the late afternoon (4ish) on Weds. Some Aussies want to meet at the Walkabout on Australia Day, which is Friday.
over near Covent Garden and the The Strand, there is a pub called the Corner Store, where we stopped at a pub crawl in 2005, it was a large place.
any other ideas for larger venues, without bands/djs for a gathering, would be welcomed.

I agree with Dom – the Holland Court is probably as good a place as any as it will be quiet. I assume it has a cosy bar Dom?

InactiveEnlighten an affiliate convention first timer: what are the parties like? The part about not always getting in in jeans for example sounds quite worrisome – I’m not taking my black jeans off until I die (well, perhaps – and just perhaps – for a few minutes every now and them to wash them…).

InactiveI am the Aussie who wants to go to the Walkabout on the 26th!!
I was planning on heading over there after the poker tourney wraps up at the conference centre.
I’m not an affiliate, but technically not an affiliate manager either anymore!
LOL
Anyway, that’s where I’ll be, before the opening party

Cheers

It’s nothing fancy but seems nice for a private get together without noise.

Maybe the aussies and bar hoppers can leave from there too – it’s walking distance from CAP and ICE.
