InactiveBefore the law even passed they sent out emails that new cards were coming, security reasons is what I remember reading.

InactiveDoes the new card have smart chip technology on it?
Depending on which ATM networks they’re accessing – they’ll be levied with higher charges if they’re not keeping up with the standards.
(just one thought)

InactiveI tried using my old card last week and it came up with “transaction declined”. I went home and activated the new card, went back to the atm and it worked fine.

InactiveThey set out the email a while ago that new cards were being issued due to security concerns

InactiveYes, I remember that email, about sending out new cards for security reasons. However, I believed that was why I got the new card six months back.
I cannot remember for certain, so I guess it’s no big deal. Either way, I don’t suppose it will matter much in a few more months. They will do what they have to do, and so will we.

InactiveWhen activating the new card, I spent a couple of hours on the phone trying to convince several different people that I was not 106 years old. Somehow they had my birthdate at 1900.
Nuts!

InactiveIf Neteller does not do anything creative, the banks will code them as bad just like the credit cards did and we have seen that knocks them out of our biz.
Aff programs, please realize this and look for alternative payment systems, your accounting dept sure as hell do not want to do wires and checks to all.

InactiveMe too! They got my age as 109 and my last 4 numbers of my social security wrong. Thus, they ask me to phone a company called Data Stream on Monday.
Can anyone tell me what happens to money that still might be on the old card?November 12, 2006 at 6:15 pm #715456Anonymous
InactiveIt’s just like a bank debit card, so there may be an “old card” and a “new card” but there’s still just one account.
Yea, Brian I agree about the coding thing. I thought maybe they’d go to a different bank to process the card POS and ATM transactions…. maybe one that was less cooperative… but that was just me thinking off-the-cuff… because it didn’t make sense.
I think AffPrograms will have to pay us all ACH or paper cheque in the near future, unless something else pops-up.
And Dom, you don’t look a day over 104… I dunno what they were thinkin’… :hehe:

You better watch out, this 106 year old is in remarkably good shape!

They got my age as 109
Thank god, I am but a young chick to you!

They should start accounts with a bunch of well known charities!
