Here is a part of the email we go about this

Welcome to RedHotPartner’s Monthly News update

    * NEWS FLASH* : US GAMBLING LEGISLATION UPDATE:

Following the recent GameAccount Board Meeting, it was confirmed that we will no longer be taking any further business from US based customers.

The number of US registered customers both in terms of active customer numbers and revenue generated makes less than 1% of our Games Network in total at present. All US accounts will be closed, and any attempts by US users to enter into the GameAccount / RedHotRummy network will be blocked by IP address and Payment method. None of our recognized payment methods are accepting any US business any longer.

It should be noted this decision has been made despite our softer “Skill” games status which is arguably a grey area in the new law at present. We will be to continue to focus on our European business and particularly servicing our key UK, Canadian and European partners.

Dear Partners & Fellow Cap Members

I do apologise if you have felt our recent newsletter update was abrupt – it was not intended to be that way.

It was merely pointing out the change in corporate stance and the facts that we have to work with moving forward. Had this been my personal decision – I would have insisted that the company continue allowing US betting, until further notice – as we (skill games) certainly are a “grey” area at this point with regards to the US legislative situation.

However – this is the decision has been made by my board and it is one that I have to enforce accross the entire program. Rest assured if any US affiliates would like to continue to work with us but targeting a different geographic of clientelle we will be more than happy to continue our relationships with them, my comittment to affiliate support is always – and will not change – my first priority.

Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions.
    Regards
    Lee-Ann Johnstone

:madat: that´s probably why you can´t advertise this on Google either. In Germany gambling is banned completely but skill games are running rampant. May be a bit hypocritical or a fine distinction they are making – depends on your point of view.

the banking systems are not accepting any more US based players in this area too.

Which banking systems and what programs?

I just made a deposit this morning with Paypal into one of the major backgammon sites.

I am aware of Game Account and Red Hot Rummy doing this but I think that’s because if you look at Game Account for instance, they also offer blackjack and variation(s) of poker.

Party is not accepting US backgammon players. It took me two emails and about three weeks to get an answer out of them and they really didn’t answer. I had to find out by attempting a deposit of my own into their backgammon site that got rejected because I was in the US. This was their response to my question of: Will Party Gammon accept US real money players?

We request you to contact your local Legal Authority regarding this issue.

Wtf. Can’t anyone answer a simple question anymore instead of referring people to an attorney? You either accept them or you don’t. Sheesh.

This is indeed more bad news. But I understand it is because of blackjack and poker available. But nonetheless, very disappointing. :lookaroun

    HAVE FAITH!!!

    RummyRoyal is accepting US players.

We can do that because we are purely skill, and it is legal in 34 of the states.

BTW – we are Pay Pal Certified.

C Your players at the tables….

    Hi Slotplayer,

We just renovated our sites (both of them) – check them out again.

Affiliates are paid by revenue, Rummy is a rake based game.

    Thanks,
