InactiveJust got a reply from Tim on this for anyone else that was wondering:
Tim: Hi Paul
Tim: how can I help you?
Paul: hi, whats a High Roller Adjustment?
Tim: that relates to our ‘Highroller policy’ whereby under certain circumstances a negative balance is carried for a player
Tim: those circumstances are that a player’s balance for the month must be at least $10,000 and that your account at the casino they are playing at is in the negative by at least $2000
Tim: the negative balance is only ever carried against that particular player’s revenue and cannot affect revenue from any of your other players
Tim: it is basically a term which protects us from paying a big winner and then paying again if they lose the money back the next month
Paul: ok np Tim, just was wondering what it was because i have never noticed that beforeSeptember 6, 2006 at 3:55 pm #704757Anonymous
InactiveThat´s been discussed previously but you are the first one who actually got hit by this and reported it. Quite obviously something that will turn some people away from Wagershare. They have a player base of a few hundred thousand and they want to offload their winnings on you?
The law of large numbers is working well for casinos and I think they should pass this advantage on.

InactiveThis is the “player isolation” thing.
I prefer being contacted about such things rather than having them imposed automatically.
I haven’t heard of programs that do not carry negatives do that….

It’s either on the books as a negative or the players mysteriously vanish when they start losing their big win back the following month. Sure some programs will eat a small amount, but they are not going to be willing to eat 25, 50, 75k, two times over, theres no way.

InactiveWell, wins like that are normally jackpots which are usually taken care of otherwise.

InactiveI’ve been hit by this deduction a couple of times and – at the risk of always sounding like a WGS promoter – I do understand why they do it.
The fact that the deduction applies ONLY to the player involved and not any other player in your account makes this bearable, in my opinion.

InactiveI guess its not to bad, i cant really complain i havent promoted them for over 18 months but still have a good few players playing there and always earn something with them each month.
