I seem to recall paying $15 on a shuttle last year. It was pretty ok, if you are happy to wait while it stops like a milk train at every hotel.

    Hi guys

I was also wondering about this. I fly in on the 12th of September at about 6PM. If there are people arriving at the same time I am more than happy to split the cost of a limo…:tounge2:

So there are other methods than cab/limos? Forgive my ignorance but this will be my first trip to Las Vegas.

PM or mail me if anyone’s interested in the cost share.

There are paid shuttle services that were less than $10 to the strip hotels the last time I checked. However, I take a taxi because it is much faster, and depending on where on the strip you will be staying it is usually under $15 if I remember correctly.

The last limo price I saw was $50 plus tip to a strip hotel, but I got the idea the guy had been stiffed and didn’t want to leave empty, so it may be more regularly.

Also, check with your hotel. Some of them have free shuttles to and from the airport.

We always take a limo. Presidential Limo is excellent and they have a round trip service special that isn’t terribly expensive. It’s really worth the extra money to avoid the long lines and wild driving of the Las Vegas Taxis.

I went with A-1 on Dom’s advice and really was only a few more bucks then a cab would cost so it is worth it, sorta cool to have a limo driver standing there waiting for you :D

I usually book transportation when I book the flight, but the times when this is not possible, the service here has been outstanding and inexpensive:

I’ve always found the shuttle system quite good.

So what are your opinions on renting a car? I’ve heard that the traffic can be bad, but how bad can it be in mid-September?

What I’m thinking here is to reserve a car from a company that is at the airport. This will cost about $50 a day for a mid-sized car ($20+gas+$25 fee for being under 25). I am pretty sure that parking is free just about everywhere in Vegas, and it would be nice to be able to go where I want when I want.

It’s either this, or I have to taxi it everywhere when I want to go someplace…
