vladcizsolMemberBernie I think its an excellent idea and CAP would be happy to Help/Fund/Administer it. We have a number of dedicated servers where it can be stored or we will be happy to supply a unique one for the project (probably best as this server will undoubtably come under attack frequently).

InactiveThis is a totally great idea, and thanks, Professor, for the offer.
Way cool!

InactiveAwesome idea, Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist.

InactiveWell, unfortunately without a skilled programmer it’s going to remain just an idea. We need someone who can
(a) program this, or
(b) commission a programmer they know who can accomplish itWhat I had in mind would be css layers so that the options could appear without you even changing webpages. You could do it all right from the original SERP where you found the scum.
Any skilled programmers in the private section with time on their hands? or anyone with an extra programmer they can spare? We could setup another private forum separate from this space to have a group communication with the programmer(s).
I’m certain all us non-techies would contribute to its development. You would not be doing a volunteer job here I don’t think.

* WCD will donate 1000$ to the programmer—-
Hope it doesnt remain just an idea!!!

InactiveI really like this idea pretty creative! Wouldn’t a script bot work, say something programmed in python? The older the language the better the performance. Not sure right now, but anyway great idea.
Lou curious you don’t have too answer, but do you have access to any cold fusion servers? greek39
August 22, 2006 at 12:10 pm #703028
vladcizsolMemberOk my team is on it. We are developing it in PHP.
Greek we do have cold fusion servers, but the designers felt that PHP was the best solution for this application.

vladcizsolMemberBernie the developers are making progress and we are starting to refine the tool. They need clarification on one item and I offered a suggestion based on their first mock up. Since this is your brainchild I want your input as well for the programmers:
First here is mock up of tool, its very basic and NOT anywhere near a final product. Check it out:
http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/newsite/spam/index.php
Here’s my response after previewing the tool as I noticed the results being returned didnt match up with Google for me:
Quote:Prasad where are the search results being pulled from below? They should be Google and it would be helpful if the searcher could also select yahoo via a tick box to the right of the search button. Results would then be displayed in two clearly labeled columns with Google being the column on the left and Yahoo being the column on the right.
Here are the developers questions:
Quote:Further details on Link #2( Affiliate T&C Violation) functionality specified below. If you
can send us how you want this functionality to be created, we can proceed along those lines.here is what they are refering to:
Quote:Link #2) Affiliate T&C Violation If you select this link the program will send out our own spider to find out what programs are being promoted on the offending site as well as the affiliate IDs of the offender. It should also be able to easily deal with straight re-directs.Program then automatically generates emails to the affiliate programs reporting the offender so they can ban the account.
PART II:
We employ is a “centralized server” that collects our collective reporting in one place. It would update as we submit complaints. For instance if I report a bad site not only do the affiliate programs and google get an email about it, but our “centralized server” also gets the information providing a few extra features:When the user clicks on the second link we can execute a script to fetch the programs that are being promoted on the offending site and affiliate IDs.
For us to be able to do that, we would need a fixed format in which the programs are listed or specific key words that we can search and parse for. Please provide further details on this and let us know if you can create a set of keywords that we can search for to identify the programs.September 20, 2006 at 7:01 pm #706703Anonymous
InactiveWay cool!
This is really coming along.
I am real excited about this.
September 20, 2006 at 7:18 pm #706706
vladcizsolMemberYeah eventually its going to be a dynamite tool, but now I have a ton of work to do rounding up affiliate link types for all casinos, the url format, the programs the casinos are managed by and finally the email address for each program that the report is to be sent to. I am also going to have them send the error reports with email open and read confirmations so we can be sure the reports are just flying out into space…
September 20, 2006 at 7:39 pm #706708
vladcizsolMemberOk guys I need some help if a few people pitch in this will go quickly. Heres the data we need to collect and the format needed. Lets go after the biggest offending groups first:
Here’s 888 Data:
Quote:Casino Managed by Report Spam to:888 Casino [email protected]
Affiliate Link Format: http://www.888.com/?sr=366110&lang=en&flag=0000
Affiliate ID 366110
I need the same data for each casino in the following groups:
Casino Pays (Complete)
Casino Partners (Complete)
Referback
Fortune Affiliates
Roxy Affiliates (Complete)
Wager Share (Complete)
Parnerlogic
Lets do those for now and then we can work thorugh the rest of the major groups
