Damn, I wasnt aware that the clicks/traffic delivered came with a guarantee. :laughcry:
Plaintiff and Yahoo! agreed to enter into a settlement agreement
I guess if you used their services between a certain date you are eligible to get on board.
All persons (and their officers, employees, independent contractors, principals or agents) that have purchased Yahoo! Ads (as defined in the Settlement Agreement) from January 1, 1998, through July 31, 2006, regardless of where the advertisement was displayed.
You may be a member of the Class whose rights are affected by this lawsuit.
If the Settlement is approved, Class Members who complete and return an Assertion of Right to Participate in Additional Claims Review Process Form by November 20, 2006, will be mailed a Claim Form. Class Members who submit a timely Claim Form may be eligible to receive settlement benefits.

Inactiveimproper clicks, non-converting clicks, inadequately converting clicks,
I agree click fraud is a big problem, and that Yahoo, Google etc are unsatisfactory in how they handle disputes, but to sue for NON-CONVERTING clicks is rediculous.
The traffic doesn’t come with a gurantee of conversion rate, bounce rates etc.
Moreso, you’re given a lot of ways to target and filter traffic.August 16, 2006 at 3:52 pm #702318Anonymous
InactiveObviously they had some facts on their side for Yahoo to even consider making a settlement!
I read an article recently about Yahoo allowing some unethical practices with regard to their clicks. I’ll try to find it and post it here. It may provide more information on what they suit is really about.
EDIT: HERE’S THE ARTICLE.

InactiveDom,
I thought that article was very thorough and informative! It was written about a year ago, and may have been the starting point for the investigation and lawsuit.
