I have heard of this before and if I remember correctly the affiliate did end up selling them the site for peanuts.

It’s not smart on the programs part if the site is productive – programs don’t know how to run good affiliate sites. Otherwise they would not need us.

I had this happen with party poker. I was told I needed to give them the domain. I gave it up as it wasn’t making much so it wasn’t a big deal.

I have never heard of such an absurd thing. If I understand this correctly if you have a large player database an affiliate program can demand the sucessful domain name be transfered to them or you won’t continue earning commissions on your players. How can they hold you hostage like this, its blackmale. What a bunch of thieves. I would love to know what rogue programs these are aside from party poker, I don’t mess with those fools anyhow.

I misunderstood the first post. DUH, it makes a little more sense now that I reread it.

Are you talking about domain names?
If you’re using as a domain name one of their poker rooms, you’re in violation of their trade mark.
    It’s very simple.
