InactiveThat’s revenue – not profit.

InactiveSo that prooves that Rev Share is better than CPA:
“while revenue per active casino player was up 32% to $554.”

InactiveGooner, I know but if you make a good percentage of that over time then rev share is good! Also rev per player will increase even more with time.
I wouldn´t want to make a cut from their business though

Inactivewhat was the profits ?
Surely they announced that too ?May 15, 2006 at 12:45 pm #692352Anonymous
InactiveThis is the place to find out about our favourite company. On their investor relations page there are casino banners with banner tags! I wonder wether these are there to track the referral location in house or if this is another case of an 888 employee showing his entrepreneurial side.
What I put in my earlier post was the whole article. The latest financial information on their site can be found here
As you can see it´s a roaring cash machine. Bear in mind the 100 million they spent on marketing.May 15, 2006 at 6:29 pm #692376Anonymous
InactiveIf their revenue is $162 per poker player then why do they still offer $200 for poker players?

If you imagine that poker players might stay on 6-9 months then multiply that by 2-3. Although I’m still trying to work out the actual PROFIT per player…May 15, 2006 at 11:12 pm #692400Anonymous

So many things leap out.
1) More than half their revenue is declared as coming from the US (illegal !)
2) A profit of $50m pre-tax – and they pay only $2m in tax (surely illegal?) :satisfied
3) Their Chief exec gets $2.2m a year, their CTO just $0.25m
4) Poker has jumped from $8m rev – to $123m rev in 2 years !! :nervous:
5) I can’t see the line item for “Spammers and Scrapers) in there …
:hehe:Very interesting reading – but it does take a while to wade through the advertising brochure …
This company is very exposed to US legal manouverings …

InactiveIt makes you wonder why they repeatedly make the point that the biggest slice of the pie comes from the US!! Every other sentence contains the word “US”.
From a legal perspective this is all pretty advanced stuff that is pretty incomprehensible to someone like myself who is not an expert on international law or fiscal expert. It seems as if it is illegal to provide online gambling venues for US players if the respective firm has an economic interest in the US but it´s fine as long as the company is based in some tax haven outside the US??

At the same time I dont think its a good idea to snub your nose at the US government, if and when they want you they will get you.
I am very interested in seeing if anything comes of Bodogs conference coming up. Calvin has been snubbing his nose for a long time, he might just find himself snatched up. Our political figures need something else besides border patrol and wars to take up the news.

Inactive:omg: Geez, 100 million to promote/advertise!? Where the hell would YOU spend that kind of money on advertising, given all the restrictions? The “free” .net TV ads must be a lot of it.
If you had 1/100th of that budget where/how would YOU spend it?sigh.gif
Maybe we need a poll for this..what % for what method. Whaddya think?
