InactiveCGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:Thats what I get for your http://www.online-casino-gambling.com/gambling.php .
Definitely get rid of all dupe content.
Not sure what else is going on there, maybe you linked to a bad neighborhood, or a bad neghborhood linked to you?

Inactivehomepage is showing pr 3 in toolbar
cant acces the history page…
is neither linked to from your index?April 22, 2006 at 10:43 pm #689649Anonymous
InactiveI get homepage PR of 2 in my toolbar … (weird?)
Anyway …
I’d suspect that a major penalty for this homepage is the large number of affiliate coded links? It may not be a banner farm – but you have 50+ affiliate links on the front page.
Guess what the googlebot may think ?

InactiveHere are some things to consider:
115 Outgoing links from homepage… no no always stay under 100
no doctype to be wc3 compliant
definate error in the keyword meta tags
no image alt tags
visible text to webpage size 12.9% needs to be higher
sign up with and implement a google site map
move statcounter to bottom of the page
run html validator and clean up the errors
use and implement keyword densityHope this helps some. Good Luck!

InactiveThanks Dom for catching my typo, online-casino-gambling.com is NOT my site!
I edited this error, but maybe a little late for some of the responses, the correct url is:
http://www.online-casino-guide.comMy apologies to all who analyzed the WRONG site. Please direct your comments to my correct url. If you would be so kind, those posted comments are they for the correct site or wrong site?:kisser:

Well I thought that was what I looked at – but I cannot confirm.
That URL doesn’t load at all for me right now (DNS error) – but it is listed in Google. Extended DNS errors do not help your ranking either …

Inactive:colgate: Love the folks at CAP!

Elgoog: what do you mean by “not proper” with the quotes “online casino….

:wavey:Yes – this is the site that has so many affiliate coded links on the front page.
Even though it looks OK – you’ve got to imagine yourself as a googlebot which pays no attention to style. All it knows is that it’s found lots of banners and over 50+ affiliate links on the front page.
That metric reeks of a banner farm and may explain poor rankings and any penalties.

InactiveDenny: just go to seo doctor and run the spider simulator. It can’t read your keyword meta tag – Wrong use of quotation marks as pointed out by others. You can create the proper meta tags there for free and fix it easily.

Inactivejust replace the quotation marks in the meta keywords
hard to explain, but if you look carefully at them, they are not real quotation rks at he moment“online

InactiveOnce again I would like to thank all of you for your valuable contributions.
Nearly all of your recommendations have been implimented I.E. reduced the affil. links to 21, fixed quotes, pulled all potential “duplicate pages” , working on SEO/keyword density, etc. …………….Now..more SEO reading.Any ideas how to get “penalties” removed, just wait?, how long??
Oh, and how important are the image alt tags ? This is a LOT of work! Is it worth it?
Thanks to whoever that was that recommended the Google backlink checker (I was using the wrong one) this one shows 670 incoming links. Is there any way to check for a “bad neighborhood” short of checking each and every link? What really identifies a “bad neighborhood”?? Some, no many, of these are really garbage non-relevant, that I don’t link to.
Of course, any additional help/suggestions are very welcome!
Hope you can all line up at the beer bar at the Vegas Conferance :capmiami:  It’s on me!!

InactiveI name at least 3 image alt tags per page with the keyword/phrase I am targeting for. Don’t use them all or you might accidentily keyword stuff.
