Can anyone help me, please. It seems that I have open DNS Servers – whatever that means. But it does advise that this leaves me vulnerable to DDos attacks, etc. I’ve been noticing lots of bounced email addressed to my sites’ addys and would like to close this option. The page also mentions that most DNS servers online are still open – !!
Does anyone know how to close DNS Servers in XP? The instructions only deal with Windows 2000, 2003 and some others that are completely alien :unhappy: A search of my help files didn’t produce anything that I thought might be helpful.
What effect would it have to close my DNS Servers – anyone know.
I’m totally ignorant on this subject.
