InactiveAnybody have any ideas on my site. I am frankly surprised that I have have only received 4 responses and not one offer. I mean here are almost 60 pages of original content, a NON-sandboxed gambling domain and an avg 2k income per month over the last 3 months out of the sandbox.
Can I get some opinions? Am I asking too much? I have proof of traffic/income etc.
I would like to hear from others who have sold these types of sites before. Thanks in advance.

InactiveEach time I have tried to access the site, it was down… That’s why I haven’t replied. Was interested, though.

InactiveHey Voodooman.
I’m not a buyer – but watching with interest to see what happens for you mate.
Certainly the initial first few months earnings sound good – and if it continues on like that for the whole year then your price would be very fair – although I would ask why you’d want to sell a “Cash cow”.
:hehe:But … here’s my take on it.
The gut feel is that 20K sounds a lot for a site that has 3 months of earnings history – and just 6K in total earnings …
A quick look at the site does show good content – and original too – but how much long term market is there for reviews on the marverl super hero slots ?
:popcorn:And the domain name is riddled with hyphens – and is hardly the most obvious type in name – so you’ll be relying heavily on search engine traffic. Bearing in mind the rumour that google is planning on hitting hyphenated domain names hard … well it’s just another uncertainty isn’t it.
Look, I’d be interested in reading the documentation you have – but I’ll be honest in that I’m not spending $20K on a site that’s less than a year old. Not even half that.
So I’m an interested by-stander I think.
:satisfiedGood luck with your internet venture.

InactiveHey Gooner,
yes–All very good points.
In addition, Google has exhibited some very strange behavior over the past week, actually wiping out all but 15 of my indexed pages (on searchengineforums we are discussing this right now and nobody can offer an explanation other than Google is messed up!)
G liked my site and I had about 100 terms in the top 10 SERPS and Poof – so right now I guess I am not in a very good bargaining position (although Yahoo and MSN are still bringing in traffic)
All I can do is keep working on my site and hopefully G will rectify itself.
As for keeping the site/selling–I just need some quick cash to get out of debt. Ive had a series of unfortuante incidents over the past year that caused me to be in an uncomfortable financial position, a position which I am not accustomed to.
Yeah if I just take the earinings each month and pay down my debt I’ll eventuall get out but it make sme uncomfortable.
I’ll keep everyone posted on what happens

InactiveIf you are going to get real offers:
Page Rank History for 1 year.
Revenue report for that site.Where is the profitable traffic coming from?
Not likely from plan google searches given that search engine placement.

InactiveUPDATE!!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know the site is still for sale and some important information regarding the price/circumstances.
1) After serious consideration and much input, I believe my asking price of
20K was too high. So, I am willing to come down somewhat significantly for that reason and the reasons listed below-2) With the latest Google trouble, my site has anywhere between 4 and almost 60 pages indexed depending on the day or even time of day checked. Traffic has declined somewhat, but not that significantly, going from about 100 uniques per day to 60-70 uniques per day. I cant take the upsa and downs and constant checking.
3) Site is still converting players (2 new players in May so far)
4) I also have a mailing list of about 100 Opt-in subscribers I forgot to mention before.
5) I was laid off from my job last week ;( so that puts even more financial pressure on me to pay off my debts, which was my main reason for even trying to sell this site in the first place.
So I would say at this point and due to my current situation, I am a VERY MOTIVATED seller–you will NEVER get a site with as much original content with a solid history, etc etc for this price. I am looking to close a quick deal so here is my price reduction: 10K and I keep my players or 15K and you get the existing players too (assuming the various affiliates allow this).
PM me–first offer takes it!
