I shouldn’t have to go into my site every few months to make sure I’m being tracked properly and I got nowhere when I questioned them about this affiliate.Dana
?? This is confusing me. Why would referback give your players to another affilate?

InactiveHi Dom,
this is actually the 3rd time this has happened to me. looking at my source coding, my aff ID was in the code, but when you click on it, someone else’s code was in the browser. It wasn’t something Referback did and I don’t know the how it was done, but an affiliate was able to redirect my link to theirs.
Another thing that was done which really got me upset which forced me to remove the gaming club poker from my casino site was – visitors don’t just click on a link and download right away. They like to navigate. As I was navigating throught The gaming club poker site as I was just about to get my poker site live and was looking for the right landing page into gaming club.
As I was navigating, I kept looking at my address bar to make sure my aff ID was still embedded, whic it was. I noticed a poker link that was sponsored by the gaming club for a ladies night weekly event, something like lips poker or similar to that.
I thought it looked interesting so I clicked on it and noticed my tracking disappeared so hit the back button. Now when I did that, a different aff ID was now being tracked. I thought whoa this won’t work because if a visitor that I send to this site and navigates as I did and decides to go back into the gaming club to download, then a different affiliate is getting the credit from my visitor.I thought something was wrong so I contacted Cobus, and I was shocked to learn that an affiliate was sponsoring this event and the gaming club poker has this affiliates link on their home page. I went to gaming club poker through a different affiliate and clicked on this ladies night banner and hit back and the original aff lost his tracking and was now being tracked by the affiliat that was sponsoring the poker tournament.
Is it just me or is that just not right? I would think this affiliate should have his own GC landing page and not gaming clubs main page.

InactiveSounds like malware, have you tested your site links from someone else’s machine? There are people who manage to install software that substitutes their affiliate codes for the codes that visitors actually click on.
I’d suggest that you test on other machines and see if it’s the machine you are browsing on or your server that might be the problem.

InactiveIt happened on both of my computers, my computer at work when I was working, my aunt’s computer which is 400 miles aways and most recently 2 months ago on my brand new laptop.
So we’re talking the 3 times this has happened was 3 years ago last year and 2 months ago. —-but allowing an affiliate to put a banner with their tracking code onto gaming club pokers main page is not fair to affilates that has been with them for so many years. This affiliate was in the 97K ID range, so they are fairly new with referback

InactiveI just went back to the link which is sponsored by aff91808 and apparantly some other must have complained as well because even though this affiliates link is still in the browser, the page does open in a new window whereas before it did not. That’s a plus anyway

Inactivewent in to referback to check my stats today as once again they are finally making money for me – my stats are gone, reset back to 0, may be just a fluke. Will have to check back in a few hours.
most affiliates I’m sure remember how it was;
but gone are the days when you could see how much money was deposited for any given month –
gone are the days when you could see exactly how much was won or lost –
gone are the days when I used to get a birthday present from referback –
gone are the days when I used to get a christmas bonus from them as well –
and gone are the days when I would receive a monetary bonus every month
for being one of their top affiliates –maybe my high rollers just went broke at the same time at referback casinos
because according to the stats – gone are the days of my high rolling playersthanks for the opportunity to vent

InactiveYes those days are long gone. Referback is a sinking ship for affiliates. They have a meeting with a few of us in Vegas January 2006 that produced no good results for affiliates. They listnen to us all but did not act in favor of what we suggested. It is Referback’s loss not ours. They bundle there casinos so whoever tags one gets them all. As a newby or a veteran it really does not pay to promote Referback anymore. They had there chance to play fair and did not. Fortune Affiliates is another group that does not track properly ever. I am sick and tire of dealing with affiliate programs such as these. Arrogant is the word to say the least. It’s time to move on with programs that take care of affiliates that send them traffic and players.

InactiveGood point Allan,
And i see from your site, you’ve been promoting Referback almost as long as I have.I personally feel my aff mgr at referback fits your description to the tee. They are arrogant and looking a gift horse in the mouth. The players are why these online casinos are so big, and it’s because of us affiliates these sites have players.
