InactiveYou will need to do a 301 redirect, then Google will pass on any benefits of the old domain (PR, links, etc.) to the new domain. Just do a search for 301 redirect and you should find plenty of help.

InactiveThat’s just advice on how to move to a new ISP. I believe the original question was how to redirect an older domain to a new domain in order to maintain the search engine benefits. For that, you need a 301 redirect.

InactiveI think it was just a personal adversion to the word gammon. Perhaps bmanhour didn’t realize it was in relationship to backgammon.
