Large min payouts really suck for the affiliate! For instance with casino partners it’s like $250. One time I had $245 sitting at the end of a month; since I was below 250 I didnt get paid. The next month the very first week I had winners and now my overall balanace was at like $19; so I have to effectively start over. Large minimum payouts are in affect a negative carry over; even if the program says they dont have those!

You know what? It’s also bad for the program, because they are no longer on my sites and for the record will never be again! I sure seem to have a lot of problems with Playtech programs; I am starting to think there is a lot more to it.

Nice point about how I could go in the negative! I think if anything after 5 months they should just release it. Really after 60 days if you haven’t hit the minimum they should release it! I’m definitely going to remove their casinos from my site.

    Agreed….

Guess you all answered the question yourselves. The programs gamble on the fact that you will either not make the min. and be able to collect interest on your money or go into the negitive so they don’t have to pay at all!

The real question is, why would you promote programs that have high minimums and negitive carry overs? Kind of like promoting programs that offer ridiculous commission percentages like 15%.

I’ve found that most good affiliate programs would agree to paying me when I had not met the minimum if I asked politely and it was just on occasion, not something I requested regularly. However, Vegas Affiliates was the only one I’ve ever asked that flat out refused.

Most affiliate programs hold what you make in a month, regardless of what happens the following months. So if you had a minimum $250 you needed to be paid for your earnings and made $150 in March and in May had a negative $300 and in June had $100 positive… I would expect to be paid $250 in July for my March and June earnings. The positive from March should not be eaten up from a negative result the following month(s).

what’s amazing is vegas affiliates ignored me for 4 days technically refusing to call me back or answer my e-mails until I put these postings up on CAP!

Yet unlike all the other programs I work with they were unwilling to release any of my monies! Explaining they couldn’t override their programming…WHATEVER!!!!!
