Are your loops correctly defined for mozilla? greek39

Well – not sure what you mean by loops but the layout works in mozilla and netscape except the text links on the horizontal menu bar where I’m using absolute positioning. What’s wiers tho is I’m also using the absolute positioning on the floater banner and that works well in mozilla

I know it;s the menu text links because if I remove them the site looks looks the same in IE and mozilla….here’s the coding for 2 of the text links – there’s 5 links but they’re the same

Your story has more to do with questioning there random shuffle then it has to do with robots.

There are robots that play poker, my guess would be they are not very good. I can’t say there are bots at Hollywood poker or any other site for sure. Poker is a complex game. A bot could easly be programed with the math part of the game, but true poker success comes from playing your opponent not your cards.

I belive your post talks more about a random shuffle. There are many that claim online poker sites do not always have a random shuffle. Some people claim that some sites use ‘action flops’, where many people hit the flop and the underdog pre-flop wins the hand. This would allow the weaker players to remain in the game to pay more rake. I find it hard to belive in an unregulated multi-billion dollar industry there is no site doing this. I have no proof and I point no fingers.

But after all that, I love online poker. I play almost everyday, for the last several years. I am a winning player, I am not rich from it, but it has paid my bills many times. There are enough bad poker players to compensate anything the sites may or may not be doing.

It is important to remember, in online poker, you see a lot of hands. You will only remember the ones that stick out. Odd things happen in live games also. It is all a part of poker. It is what brings the fish back, thinking they can win.

Souldn’t the table tag be before the tr. I didn’t really look at your site, the loud music drove me away. But looking at the code it would apear this would be correct. I may be wrong, I am no html expert.

I, too, play everyday at multiple sites as well as live tournaments at local casinos.
You make a good point with the random shuffling and with a full table you can pretty much expect someone holding strong pocket pairs 18% of the time according to the pro’s anyway. So every 5 hands dealt you’re up against the nuts so to speak. But to have 3 sets of strong pocket pairs 4 hands in a row, you have to admit, is a rarity.

52 cards w/ 2 distributed to 10 players each – the odds would have to be astronomical.

I’ll put a volume control or a mute button on that particular flash presentation giving them the option to turn it off. I’ve had feedback from visitors not being able to hear the music and I just assumed the only way to control volume is from the visitors puter’.

I’ll try changing the table tag.

    Thanks for your help.

i play poker everyday (3-6 hours a day) and it’s normal…..i mean sometimes i DO think some sites are rigged to juicy up the rakes (more action) I think full tilt poker and partypoker does this a lot. Someone would have TT, JJ, and one of course the other would have QQ, or even AA. All low cards come up. They start raising like crazy.

I dont know…if u win u win if u lose u get mad of course

Ever since that happened to me, I stopped playing there for a week and started again yesterday, turned the phone and TV off, paid ATTENTION, and made it through 3 stages of qualifying and am in the finals this evening.

The high pocket pairs were spread out the way you expect them to be. It’s always good to feel as though you’re actually playing a live table.

What’s ironic though, is I’ve seen the flop on tv come out a set more than I have online, so I guess if the TV flop can come out K,K,K, then I guess players online holding AA, QQ, JJ isn’t too crazy w/ 10 players
