InactiveI will see how they do, new management does not make them legit in my book.
From what I understand they have a lot of cleaning up to do from the old management.January 25, 2006 at 4:56 pm #681867Anonymous
InactiveThe First Grand group have a long skid mark. New management does not equal new owners. Management can only do so much.

InactiveThe player boards are full of current complaints about African Palace.
I myself promoted them when I first noticed them – until the end of the first month when I saw my stats.
I contacted the then aff manager and was promised that they would set it straight and pay me whatever it was that I figured I should be paid – some $600 or $800 – I don’t remember exactly.
I reminded him after a month and he said it was taking a long time because it was a manual adjustment.
I never did receive that money to this day.
Of course I did stop promoting them, and I won’t promote them until they clear things up with players.
Would be nice to be able to trust their word, too.

vladcizsolMemberI have never been paid by African Palace either. While I welcome new management there I would take a wait and see attitude with this one.

InactiveFrancois is a good egg. Uncompromising and high class. He is a highly degreed fellow (lectures at University) plus he has his years of experience with microgaming to add to that. He was always very senior at Money Mechanic and reported directly to the boss.
As you all stated though management are only as good as the owners allow them to be. Still, Francois said that he has been given free reign by the owners and has already changed the payout policy and procedures for affiliates and for players. He has also made extra tools available to support to help them offer a better service (more relevant info at their fingertips)
As a marketer into the SA market I had my own reasons to put them on the backpage. They still outperformed many of the opposition. The retention was excellent and I think the player payments to SA were a lot better than the record in USD. As I said though, Francois told me that he had made the appropriate changes to get the payment procedures in order to effect timeous payments all around.
I got the impression that Francois was 110% confident that he had management support here. Time will tell but I will give them the increased exposure.

InactiveAn update.
Francois Vorster contacted me to say that he had continued to do a thorough and in depth investigation into the new position he had accepted.
As of this morning (31 January 2006), he has quit First Grand. I didn’t get the impression it was over the player payments or affiliate payments (which he was confident he had already gone a long way to resolving), but I must say he wouldn’t divulge his real reason for leaving (confidentiality agreement I guess).
Still, as I said he is an extremely intelligent man with sound ethics too and if he has walked then I guess they certainly are not going to get exposure from me neither.

InactiveHey Guys,
I would just like to say hello to all of you! As most of you know from my mailer, my name is Paskaran and I am now the affiliate manager at First Grand. I know, there’s a lot of work to be done here in terms of getting to the top and with all the cleaning up to do, but I’m ready to take the challenge head on! :fencing:
Yes, Franscois has left, but for personal reasons. It was a pity to see him go as it would have been great to work with him but I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing him well in his future endeavours. We have several new personnel on board who have a variety of CRM and gaming experience. The management changes still stand!
Professor and Dominique, I have taken a look at your accounts, and yes, there are payments due to both of you. I have arranged for payment to be made upon the scheduled date for affiliate payments. You can expect a mail from me today with regards to these matters.
Brian, it was a great pleasure chatting with you yesterday. I hope that Francois departure won’t affect our relationship and I look forward to working with you.
To the rest please drop me a mail at [email protected] should you wish to discuss any outstanding queries and payments. More importantly, any input or suggestions from you guys would be highly appreciated!
Our mission and aim here at First Grand has been re-enforced to provide affiliates with maximum benefit and rewards, as well in a speedy fashion. I hope I do get to work with all you guys in the near future, and I look forward to that!
Best Regards,
Paskaran Pather

InactiveI have had the casinos EVIL listed for a long while also.
Bryan Bailey just had a positive contact with them at GIGSE and suggests in his Newsletter that if you are having difficulties with them that perhaps he can help. He has renewed direct contact with them.

InactiveThe casinos are on my blacklist too, the aff program isn’t – yet.
Paskaran is right on my messenger but I figure they won’t pay me after all these go arounds. I am not running after them. Probably they are not paying because I won’t take them off the blacklist. You can see right n this thread where he said he would pay me. We talked, I never got paid.
Paskaran knows right where to find me – here, on messenger or by email.

I have been in contact with Paskaran via IM and he cleared up my back payments VERY quickly. Not only that but he looked into a players non payment issue and cleared that up as well.
I suggest contacting him directly with your concerns. I am very, very impressed with how quickly he worked out all of my “issues” with First Grand. Very impressive so far. :clapper:
