InactiveI’m always getting more than what I see at the end of the month from different programs (sometimes less too). Make sure you go back into your stats and see what the final total is after you get paid. Sometimes it is the software company doing their final updates for the month and sometime it is a bonus that you might not be aware of. Don’t send it back until you have talked with the affiliate program about it. From my experience when the aff program makes a mistake it is in their favour sneaky2.gi

InactiveThanks for the reply Bigdaddy.
Some examples..
Say I’ve earned $1200 from an affiliate program according to the stats for that month.
I’ll receive two seperate payments of $1200 which I assume is an error on their part. Sometimes they’ll catch them on their own and take the funds back, but more often than not I end up having to contact them to let them know.
I always contact them because I am an honest person and I think it’s important to keep a good relationship with the program(s) because I will generally earn more in the long run than a one time error in payment.I only brought this up because it happens every month for me with at least one affiliate program.
This month I was only expecting $150 from a certain program and received close to $1700 instead. That was an extreme difference from what I was expecting so I didn’t want to keep the extra if it wasn’t actually what I earned.
Just wanted to see how common an error that large is for everyone else.

Inactivei had these bad thoughts earlier:
imagine they shave you every month a bit,
like changes in your stats,
but they forget to change it on the paying rol?a double payment is a different thing of course

InactiveCould happen I suppose, but doubt it. Most of the double/extra payments are from some of the better programs out there.
A player would have to go crazy on the very last day for that to happen, otherwise I keep a pretty good eye on my stats and wouldn’t miss something like that.December 21, 2005 at 3:01 pm #679003Anonymous
InactiveI have seen all kinds of payment differences over the years but most times, unless it was a chargeback, it was in my favor. Most times it was explained to me as the settling of accounting. Normally all the figures arent together until a few days after the start of the new month therefore when you look on the 30th or 31st it isnt always settled yet.

vladcizsolMemberI would really appreciate it if all the affiliate programs I am working with would send me double payments for the next few months. I am really interested to see how I would respond.
In the interest of scientific study I will even post my reactions here…
