Generally speaking, all online activities are at thier height when the weather is lousy.

The weather in the UK is cold and its snowing, all good fun but surely that makes for lousy weather. Lets put the theory to the test, the next few days should see a surge in players, bets etc.

I’ll keep you up to date! :colgate:

Thanks for all replies ! I’m in my 1st year of Affiliate marketing, and keep a slew of statistics, so I was curious what people’s thoughts were on this.

    Regards,

    Doug

I found November to be a down month, in which I had close to comparable traffic coming through my websites to other months, but revenues were down. I’m only advertising Poker Sites, but I’m going to attribute it to reduced availability of cash on the part of players, due to us heading into Holiday season.

Anyone buy my logic, or do you think that I’m rationalizing ?

P.S. Revenues down about 20 % for me, month over month (based on last 3 months), whereas my overall traffic (clickthroughs) were only down about 8 %.

My site is primarily about Sports Betting, but I seem to have got quite a bit of cross selling on the poker sections of 1 or 2 bookmakers.

My poker turnover isn’t seasonal, rather it’s inversely proportional to the amount of football (soccer) action.

Plenty of football = low poker betting
    A slow day/week = lots of poker play …
    :chearlead

Its’ a nice way to balance out the budget …

That explains why, here in England, online gambling is a £6,000,000,000/year industry.
