Sedo are IMO the most reputable. I have also in the past ordered an appraisal and found it to be very informative.

Sedo is pretty solid for sales/listing/escrow, but there are forums which provide you with appraisals gratis, which are often more informative

I list my names for sale on Sedo.com, Afternic.com, TDNAM.com and GreatDomains.com(when they take them)

I have my unused URL’s parked with Sedo and am having good results.

I would never pay for a URL appraisal. I think it is a waste of money……

go to discussnames.com, the afternic forum, you can get free peer appraisals there.:1Dialog:

I like Sedo too. Well laid out and easy. Good place. I think appraisals are worthless…they just end up giving the seller higher expectations which are rarely achieved. The price is the value to the buyer, simple as that.

I now have learnt that its more appropriate to use an appraisal service that isnt looking for a portion of your sale. Independant appraisers tend to give a more realistic price quote without going over board… I had one domain appraised somewhere where they take a % commission…they said between 14-16k…i went to 2 places where they dont ask for commission and they were almost identical, give or take 100 dollars….and 7,000$ less than the appraisal received from the commission based place… crazyness i say!
