It’s relatively easy… Just:
1. Get a good link from a website already indexed by Google (The higher the PR, the quicker you would get crawled – typically)
2. Create a Google Sitemap
This works for me.

i just made the sitemap but i heard it may take up to a month to get indexed

The best way to keep track of your website saturation in search engines is to this tool http://tools.marketleap.com. This also keeps track of who is linking to you. I really recommend this site.
