For the avoidance of doubt it is hereby clarified that you shall not be entitled to market to potential Players (i) on any Internet site on which we promote the Website; (ii) on any Internet search engine on which we promote the Website; and (iii) in any other manner which results in your competing with us in relation to the promotion of the Website. In the event that you are in breach of the foregoing provisions, we reserve the right to render the Tracking URLs assigned to you void and you shall have no claims against us in respect of such action taken by us.”
Good try but still not enough. :kissass:
September 4, 2005 at 3:02 am #672274AnonymousInactivewait, let me see if I understand the TOS, you can’t promote the poker room if you are in the same search engine as them….?!?!?
September 4, 2005 at 10:42 am #672282AnonymousInactiveHi Everyone, I’m very happy to welcome you to the Purple Lounge affiliate program and will do my best to answer all your questions.
Thanks for your questions about the competative marketing clause in our condtions. I believe the clause that you’ve highlighted in our conditions is there is make sure that we’re not promoting our site through competing advertising, or even competing bids for search engine optimisation. Although I take your point and don’t see the problem with competing on a particular search engine, we’re obviously happy to get as much exposure as possible these search engines as possible!
I’ll clarify this for you with our legal team and I’ll definately change the wording of this to be more transparent if we can,
I’ll update you all tomorrow!
Best wishes
Alex

December 26, 2005 at 12:45 pm #679243AnonymousInactiveHi there guys,
I am brand new to this site, and thought it would be fitting to add my first post to this thread! I have about 6 individual hold’em groups (all very brand new to me!)
I’ve been working with Alex from Purple Lounge for the past couple months, I have a modest 40sum downloads there and yet.. no depositers! Not for lack of trying
However, through the mix-ups, and trials, Purple Lounge has become my favorite affiliate site, even with the 0 profit LOL..
Alex, and now Ilan have both been super helpful! Even back when I first started, and was sooo proud of my 40 members (now well over 10 times that, but we’ll get up there ).

June 28, 2006 at 8:26 am #696992AnonymousInactiveHi CAP Members,
I can say on behalf of Casino.dk that we have been very satisfied with Purple-Lounge Casino and Poker.
The conversions are good, the support is swift and the payments are always on time. I even played a bit myself and got my cashout straight away!
We have held a special poker evnt for their FHM tour in Norway etc.
Well thats it for me, just wanted to to say to new and old CAP members that this aff. program works for us!
Have fun!
Regards,

They are worth checking out.

Thanks

Purple_Alex wrote:Hi guys, I’m going to change the wording on our affiliate agreement to make the whole thing more transparent. What’s funny is these posts were made in Sept. of 2005 and I was on their site in Sept. 2006 and saw this:
“3.4 Competitive Marketing. For the avoidance of doubt it is hereby clarified that you shall not be entitled to market to potential Players……. (ii) on any Internet search engine on which we promote the Website;”
Which is still exactly the same as it was when YYY posted. It was the main reason why I did not join this program. To me it’s the same as stating we can terminate your account and affiliation with us if you do this ________ or this __________. Kinda leaves it at their sole discretion doesn’t it?
This was also part of the terms that concerned me:
4.3 In the event, the balance amount carried over does not total $75 within a consecutive three (3) month period, then the amount due will be voided and cancelled, and we may terminate this Agreement
5.3 Termination By Us. We may terminate this Agreement, with or without cause, upon thirty (30) days written notice to you. Further, we may terminate this Agreement immediately, without notice, in the following events: The total number of new Players introduced by you in a sixty (60) day period is less than 1.
Nothing against them as I know nothing about them and they did respond to my email to them about this matter but the response didn’t say they couldn’t only that they wouldn’t terminate say for being listed in the same search engine. This could mean any and at their discretion. I do very well with poker and I wouldn’t need nor want to worry every night if I might get terminated to save them 5k a month or whatever. Those terms are affiliate unfriendly to a worrywart like me. Sorry I couldn’t post their exact reply as I must have trashed it but still had my email in my sent folder.
March 9, 2007 at 4:22 pm #730204AnonymousInactiveHi all,
This has now become an old thread, but I would like to let you all know that we have reviewed our terms and conditions since these issues were raised and have now modified where necessary. The new and improved version should be available on our site in the next couple of weeks.
If you have any questions regarding this matter or any other, please don’t hesitate to get in touch either here or through affiliates@purple-lounge.com. I’ll do my best to help or answer your questions.
