The flyers have Forsberghehehe, so even if they won’t be the best team in the nhl, i’ll be able to watch the best player on the planet regularly, wearing my team’s sweater. it’s enough to make you forget about that the stupid shooout crap.

I think you mean
The Flyers traded Forsberg, plus 10 other 1st round draft picks for Eric Lindros 10+ years ago
Since then, “The Big E”, (E=Error) was last seen liquored up in a local nightclub, urinating on the dance floor and dumping drinks on the female patrons, as he was being escorted out by the police in handcuffs, he was heard muttering, “I will never play in Quebec”
Quebec, of course, became Colorado, and was one of the most dominant teams of the past decade, thanks to Philly’s incompetent judgement, and their willingness to outbid only one other “Out to lunch” team, the New York Rangers, and get Lindros, no matter what
Philly not only donated Forsberg, but other players as well, guys like Sundin, Nolan, Deadmarsh, Young, and several others i can’t remember at the moment, came to Colorado directly, or indirectly, as a result of that trade
Forsberg now, aged and often injured, will only decline in his skill, the reality of being a pro athlete, Philly is an example of how “Not to do things”, and a trade like this will only add more pain to the memory of Philly fans, and what might have been.
Enjoy the Swede for his 2 remaining years of pro hockey, and avoid Ottawa in the playoffs, at all cost, they will skate circles around you, as they have proven time after time.
Thank You

> no, despite the past, i got it right the first time. i actually meant “The flyers have Forsberg!”Since then, “The Big E”, (E=Error) was last seen liquored up in a local nightclub, urinating on the dance floor and dumping drinks on the female patrons, as he was being escorted out by the police in handcuffs, he was heard muttering, “I will never play in Quebec”
> ok. i really wasn’t keeping track of where Eric pees, I was just kinda happy the Flyers got Forsberg.Quebec, of course, became Colorado, and was one of the most dominant teams of the past decade, thanks to Philly’s incompetent judgement, and their willingness to outbid only one other “Out to lunch” team, the New York Rangers, and get Lindros, no matter what.

> does time after time mean twice in the history of the league, including once after that flyers/leafs last-man-standing series? look, i’ll give the devils their due (although they’ve declined now), but ottawa was never more than an ordinary foe. they could win a few games, maybe even a series or two, but they weren’t even good enough to play for the cup, nevertheless win one.My surely unappreciated hockey editorial

InactiveForsberg is out again with a serious injury, the whole year it looks like.
If only someone had the insight to foresee such events…wait a minute…
“Forsberg now, aged and often injured, will only decline in his skill, the reality of being a pro athlete”
Wow, pure genius, who said that ?
