InactiveI am not so sure about the remodeling being fun either – but I plan to do little of it myself, I have hired a contractor and a couple of muscle men. 😎
I hope it will be fun to practically live outdoors – I have tables and chairs and rockers etc up by the motor home and down by the pond and these will be my living room and office. Right outdoors. It never rains here in the summer so I should be safe. (watch it pour :1circling )
The worst part will be moving our stuff from the house to the barn – which is being remodeled for that purpose as I speak. I like to do much of this myself. Once that is done, outdoor living here I come! :woohoo:

InactiveWe went through a major remodeling process at our home over the past year and a half….. its a major PITA while it’s going on ( too many people to consider living offsite while it was underay LOL )…. BUT.. once it IS done, as Captain said, you virtually have a new home, and its very nice to sit back and enjoy!

InactiveI can’t wait!
I am having everything torn out and starting all over anew.
Hopefully it will all be done in time so we don’t hit the rainy season.

InactiveGood luck Dominique.
Wow, lots of remodeling going on here. I used to run a lumber/hardware store and saw much social discord amongst those who were remodeling, some leading to divorce. Watch out for the stress, and keep smiling

My hubby’s attitude is “surprise me” and he says it with a smile, remembering previous surprises I served up.
He is going to sit by the water with a book and a pipe and some cold lemonade and wait until it’s time to go “OOOOH” and “AAAAAH”.
He is a smart man!

Not so rough. If I get sick of being outdoors (unlikely) then there are lots of nice bed and breakfast places down by the river, or we can go to a nice motel.
