The BBC have some free tickers that you can use – not sure they cover american sports in depth though.
Most of the sportsbook affiliate programs offer a sports ticker of sometimes, or live line feed which you place in an iFrame.
What you can do is make your own ticker using code similar to the below:-
This is code used in VIP Profits, or you can use the below code to display lines from a GC Money property:-
