I am sure I speak for many of us here when I say that our hearts go out to all who are hurt and wounded in London. We, in the US, know first hand the fright that these kinds of incidents invoke.
Terror is ridiculous and solves no problems.

my wife just told me there is army patrols on the streets by our flat and they have shut down the whole area because of the blast near us
The whole of central london appears to be going into lockdown a number of people have IM’d me to say there offices shutting dow
I am listening to the news about it. I hope all London based affiliates and programs are ok – we have quite a large number!
I hope there will be no further trouble, and I am sure I can say all of our thoughts are with you!

I understand the sympathies and the outrage … but we must control the anger. 1 or 2 of the posts here should be modded.
The bombs are stupid. The bombs are tragic.
But they certainly will NOT cow Londoners who have seen their city destroyed by far greater threats in living memory. If anything this strengthens our resolve to do the correct thing.
We MUST carry on living … and NOT jump to a kneejerk reaction and assume everyone who is different is a terrorist.
I’m not religious – but I beleive that no-one of who carries a beleive of faith or GOD will support these actions.
