The financial markets are heavily regulated in most contries, so I see quite a big difference.

The main arguement should boil down to what constitutes ‘gambling’. if you invest your money without a guarantee of getting a return or even your original investment back then I would class this as gambling. This is the situation for many types of investment in the stock market.

Betting on Germany to reach a major football final regardless of how poor their team is seems to be the only sure thing left in the world.

Ok, but then insurance, any prepayments etc etc would constitute gambling. I wont contradict that you actually can consider this as gambling in some wird way, but then the definition of gambling is useless in relation to your inital suggestion.

Let’s agree on getting up in the morning is a gamble :hattip:

gambling comes under fire from many different areas – social, moral, religious etc etc and so its always going to be a difficult area – despite the fact its been arouind for thousands of years. gambling is seen as risk whereas investment is seen as…investment! its about other people’s attitudes really – i would think google are simply protecting themselves financially – perhaps other and makjor financial backers would pull out if gaming was seen other than immoral on google?

    It certainly is!! :hattip:

Yes, I guess in many ways insurance is technically a bet, in effect you’re betting/covering the outcome of an event, like a flood or fire happening and the insurance company is betting that it doesn’t happen.

So that adds another industry which should be banned from google adwords!! All im asking for is a level playing field for each industry…
