In the deep dark distant past, when the majority of people still saw them, I used to run a pop up on exit with four different banners in a small window that did actaully generate sign ups.
Now pop up blockers have such a high intercept rate and people are so upset by them that I dont do pops on my sites.
Yeah I used to use them in the past but not for years. But in firefox if I’m on a site and the pop-up warning comes up I usually click allow pop-ups out of curiosity. Maybe I’m in the minority there though.
