InactiveI live in Europe. They send me checks – 1 week. My bank put the money into my account – 1 month at least.

InactiveThat would be nice. I always wait between 1-2 months for the money. Do you use the card at an ATM?

InactiveI think you might be better off having a US money account at your countries bank (if that is possible in your country) and having them send you checks in US funds. That way you are in charge of conversion rates and don’t have to deal with Netellers which are not very good.

InactiveBrian, I use NETeller and then request a cheque, like SharpGambler, and then bank to my Australian dollar account. Yeah it costs $10 (abut US$7) for up to 4 cheques but after consolidating a number of payments and just requesting a cheque in about the third week of every month it makes the fee a bit more reasonable. Therefore I suggest you check with your bank about the fees to bank a foreign currency cheque. Mine is negotiated immediately (as I’ve been doing it for a while now) and the funds go in as cash and are available straight away. Obviously that part differs from bank to bank.
As for the company vs. personal part, I just bank to a personal account and then transfer. Once again, differs between countries I guess. I did read somewhere that people just nominate the account number of their company and NETeller is none the wiser as to whether it is a company or personal account.
Obviously a lot of this depends on local rules and your level of comfort, but in short it can be done.

InactiveWell my concerns are not because of the fees. My bank does not charge too much, but it also takes more than 1 month to have the cash. Rules in my country work in this way. Even if I receive a check from an euro country denominated in Euro, the same happens. As long as the cheque comes from other country it takes this long process. That’s one reason that I usually look at the payment options on poker rooms and casinos. I know that if they have moneybookers I can receive any winnings very fast. Moneybookers wire the funds to my bank account and it only takes 2 days to have the funds available. Neteller does not wire the funds to European banks.
I also did a mistake that I will revert soon. I denominated my Neteller account in Euro since I deal with euro in my country. I though neteller would convert the funds and send cheques in Euro. What a mistake Neteller does not have a real euro account.
This happened the last time I receive funds in USD from a casino:
I reveive USD funds to Neteller. They converted USD to Euro, because my account is denominated in Euro (lost conversion commissions);
I withdraw the funds from neteller, they convert EUR to USD in order to process a cheque (always pays in USD) (comission lost again);
The cheque arrives, I put it in the bank. They charged me fees and convert into Euro (conversion comission again).
No good. I don’t recommend an EUR account on Neteller to anyone. Work in USD and convert only once.
